"The outdoor and indoor pool were closed! Room was dirty and smelled really bad! We had to keep leaving the door open to air it out! Sparse towels, and hand soap and shampoo. No smoke detector in the room. Burn marks on the table broken lamp, and dirty walls and floors! kinda all together rundown. But the one hot tub that is working is very comfortable and clean."

"I have had good stays here in the past during the shoulder season, reasonable price, nice facility / location. So this may be a one-off. Firstly Hotel.ca had issues as well. Very hard to access the guaranteed rate, everything pushed through on-line AI, and no contact info. We added a third night, and Hotel.ca was going to make sure everything went smooth. Upon arrival, we had to change buildings because these are rented by individual owners. Now for the hotel, stayed here 3 times over the last 4 years, The steam room wasn't working those 3 years, and 2 of the years, the sauna wasn't working. But this year we were in the second building, and the amenities are duplicated, and they were working in the second building. So all good. Either the dishwasher didn't work, or we could not figure out how to get it to work. Front desk is not manned on a regular basis, we did not pursue the opportunity to call someone, as not mission critical. In the second room, we changed buildings, elevator was not functioning all 3 days One could imagine that when you rent a kitchenette, you have a few bags and boxes to move in and out, for one day. So disappointed, and may consider other facilities, but still up in Kicking Horse Resort area. Golden is great area, make sure you get away from the city, Thompson Falls (30 min West), Wapta Falls (30 min east), the Riverwalk, and the golf course is phenomenal. Little disappointed with the Swiss Chalets, their functional, and can't be toured."

"Comfortable beds, quiet relaxing place to stay with a delicious breakfast of egg bites, yogurt, toast, etc. Self check-in was easy to navigate. Large tv with super clear picture. Very enjoyable, highly recommend. Restaurant on site as well, so even though a 10 to 12 min drive up mountain behind Golden, well worth it!"

"The view is spectacular. The pool and slide are fun and the restaurant is decent. The pizza is actually really amazing. Other than that… this place needs a lot of help. Every window screen was broken, the carpet felt old and dirty. The bathroom faucet was broken and sprayed everywhere. The hot tub jets didn’t work, the pool was probably too heavily chlorinated which made all of us cough just being in the room. But the kids had a blast on the slide. All in all, it’s a 2-3 out of 5. We would consider staying there again if we could ensure we got a room with a mountain view."
