One of my excursions was canceled prior to my arrival but I didn’t worry because the hotel advertised assistance with this. But when I asked at check in they said they don’t do that. When I asked for a recommendation as to a company or service that could assist, I was told they had no idea how to help me.
Shower slide didn’t work properly so there was always water on the floor, and the shower hose didn’t stay up, it kept sliding down. The only lamp in the room didn’t work until I plugged it in, and when I went back To the front desk to ask for hair conditioner and a washcloth they had no idea what I was talking about, even after I acted out what those 2 items did. When I asked for a cab to the airport they called for one, whose credit card machine was broken and he demanded cash, then dropped me off in the parking garage and said his machine really wouldn’t work in there.
Overall I felt like they were all in cahoots to make a foreigner feel unwelcome in what should have been a very cosmopolitan city
