Stayed many times but this undoubtedly was the worst stay yet. Bed and pillows were rock hard could not sleep Went down for breakfast found a table got cup of tea table taken when I got back so went to get breakfast got last plate no food all bar bacon empty so left with no breakfast terrible and a long trip home . Never again awful .

This place was terrible. There were no amenities available. Not even extra toilet paper, towels. They don’t refresh or clean your room. The AC was non existent. My aunt was moved 3 times due to problems with air conditioning which was never solved. The staff was rude and condescending to my family. They refused to process any kind of refund. When my aunt complained about the air con on the first day, they told her that they’ll refund her and she can go stay elsewhere. I booked this place for my father and his family members because they have medical needs for air conditioning. As a result my father and his sister suffered consequences of the heat including swollen feet, fatigue, headaches etc. they were not helpful in remedying any of their issues. They left me on hold for 30 minutes then refused to pick up the phone after. I will be calling corporate at a later date to get a refund. Do not waste your money staying here. It’s a disgusting place just like the staff.

Stayed here for one night with my special needs young daughter. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Had a relaxing night as the bed was comfortable and there was AC in the room. The room was clean and well kitted out with an iron and tea and coffee. However, the carpet was a little ropy and needs upgrading soon. Also, the bathroom had no working extractor fan so not good. Breakfast was OK - it was buffet style, warm and consistently topped up. Overall, an OK stay.

Very noisy with each room having fire doors that slammed all night behind guests going to and from their rooms. No soundproofing from within the hotel, so could here people passing in the hallway. Little sleep had. There appeared to be what looked like cigarette ash in the shower, with the room also looking a bit dated and run down. On the plus side, very nice staff.

Hotel situated close to rail station and with good access to public transport around the city. City centre and harbourside both within easy walking distance. Hotel was clean and bed was comfortable. Air conditioning welcome addition on hot summer stay. Reception staff always pleasant and helpful. Complimentary breakfast had good range of cereals, pastries, and cooked items. Bar food hot and tasty when staying in for evening meal. Wi-fi included and tea/coffee making facilities in room. Be aware that as hotel on a busy main road, rooms can be a little noisy but did not affect my stay.

Excellent location for both bus and train journeys. Both run regularly from Temple Meads railway station which is just across the road. There is also a ferry service which runs from behind the station. Unfortunately there are too many steep steps down to the wharf for anyone with mobility issues.

Staff member was extremely rude. We arrived at 1.30pm and she asked did we want to become a member of hotel and said it was free. I said no as there was several people waiting. She told us to come back at 3pm to check in. I asked was there any possibility of the room being ready sooner and she raised her voice and snapped at me and said I just offered you membership and you said no. I said well you didn’t say anything about room being ready and she again shouted at me saying I told you that. At no point did she say the only way you could get into your room which was ready was to take the membership. So even though your room may be available earlier than 3pm check in they will not let you in it unless you become a hotel member. Room was clean that’s as good as it got. Bed extremely high, very hard and pillows hard and lumpy. We were awoke very early by a staff member banging on the door repeatedly until we got out of bed and answered to ask if there was a problem with our electricity, They had got the wrong room. Breakfast was okay though not very hot and toasters extremely slow so queue of people waiting to do their toast. First time at holiday inn and have to say the rude staff member ruined it for me from the start

The Holiday Inn Express, Temple Meads, Bristol is a short walk from the station which was a real bonus to us, having travelled on the train from Cornwall. I thought the price we paid was excellent value for money especially as it included breakfast. The breakfast was very good. The food was hot. The bacon and sausages were extremely good and tasty. We were given late checkout which was very good for us as we were flying out to Tenerife and our flight wasn't until 4pm. The staff were very good especially Bethany on reception who was extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Das Holiday Inn Express Bristol City Centre by IHG liegt strategisch nah beim Bahnhof, somit kann man bequem über die Straße gehen und mit dem Zug u.a. nach Bath fahren; auch alle anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen nahe beisammen. Trotz der stark befahrenen Straße vor dem Hotel ist es im Hotel selbst ruhig, also gut gedämmt. Das Personal ist jung und sehr freundlich bzw. hilfsbereit. Man wird herzlich empfangen. Das Zimmer war sehr ordentlich und sauber - jeden Tag wird frisch gereinigt und das Bett gemacht. Das Frühstück ist bei dieser Hotelkette immer inbegriffen und bietet ein typisches englisches Frühstück. Auch hier ist das Personal top und hat ein besonderes Augenmerk darauf, das das Essen nicht "ausgeht". Über die gut funktionierende Klimaanlage im Zimmer habe ich mich sehr gefreut, da zur Zeit meines Aufenthalts es draußen 33 Grad hatte - ein Segen! Ich kann das Hotel nur empfehlen und würde, falls ich Bristol noch mal besuchen würde hier gerne wieder einchecken.
