"Excellent property with good pub food in the restaurant let down only by the unforgiving 'hotel contract' bed."

"Breakfast finished promptly at 09:00. The bar was poor, had to take a larger back because it had gone off. No refund was offered although the barman agreed it was undrinkable! They had absolutely no Whisky in stock in the bar and only a couple of bourbons available. Executive rooms on the top (2nd) floor with no lift."

"This hotel has bags of character and is a refreshing change from the likes of Premier Inn. If you don't like creaky floors and things not being level, then this place is not for you! But if you want a warm, comfortable place to rest your head in the middle of the town with friendly staff and great food, then look no further"

"Hotel was reasonably priced for a reason. Room was spacious and comfortable but a little tired. Nice quiet location though, so had a good night sleep. Breakfast was a disappointment, best leave it at that. I would consider staying again, easy parking, good location and certainly good value for money compared to other options on this occasion. "

"Great location if visiting Ludlow as only 15/20 minute walk in so ditch the car at the hotel! Small hotel but perfect for a short break. If tall maybe mention on booking as some rooms are second floor and have eaves which could present a challenge! We stayed in Room 7 which had all we needed but was compact. However hotel good value and suited us perfectly. Would stay again."
