"Nice room, welcoming staff. Third floor very hot in the roof, no air con."

"The room was clean, but the shower room could do with a deep clean. Yellow around plug area and taps on sink. Vents very dusty. The shower wasn't working. Door to reception said open from 7am but it didn't open till 8am house keeper came to look at the shower who also couldn't get it working so opened up an unoccupied room for me to use the shower Staff were fantastic. Ate in the restaurant Saturday night. Again staff were very accommodating and friendly. Food was fantastic"

"Fabulous hotel the decor is amazing lovely bar area and restaurant etc bit disappointed by the so called private secure car park wall fallen down no barrier etc our room was large very nicely decorated but no air con was extremely hot and stuffy and room was above the kitchen extractor fans incredibly noisy and smelly don't want to really smell boiling vegetables at 8 am!!!? Or 11 pm for that matter did get us a gan to try and help but didn't really make a lot of difference a different quieter room and air con it would be a 5 star hotel excellent location"

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel was very convenient for walking into Lincoln and shopping, with many and varied pubs, bars and restaurants within a short distance, but driving was a different matter. Luckily we managed to find a space in the Hotel car park every night - it seemed to fill up quite early - and didn't need to pay the extra to use the NCP down the street, so that was good! On the other hand, and this is no reflection on the Hotel, we seemed to find ourselves stuck in traffic, stuck in one-way systems, stuck on the opposite side of the city every time we tried to leave or return to our base. Lincoln isn't for driving in!"

"The hardest bed in the world! Been to this hotel many times (we even had our wedding reception there when they first opened). We stayed in December and had the worst night's sleep due to a rock hard mattress. Thought it was just bad luck as never been like it before, stayed again this week and clearly they have changed all mattresses. Worst night sleep ever! Mattress so hard!. Not what you expect from a luxury hotel!"
