The a/c could not be adjusted and the room remained approximately 64 degrees for the two day stay. The thermostat was partially detached from the wall. When discussed with staff they said it has to be adjusted slowly or the controller would freeze up, and it is an old system. The temp was already set at 71 degrees but ran continuously, even with the room well below the setting. The room itself was well kept and no issues beyond the temperature.

I have stayed at the Biddle two times in the past seven years (visiting from Europe) and on each occasion they made check and out very easy and the hotel was kept very clean. The rooms are spacious (at least comparable to **** hotels in Europe and well furnished, including a coffee maker (nice for those jet-lagged mornings). There is a pub in the basement which serves decent food and also has a dining patio. I really have only one complaint and that is that the place is noisy. On both of my visits there were 'scenes' in the middle of the night. On one occasion a very noisy group that kept coming and going and talking/shouting a full voice in the corridor. The second visit featured a woman banging on a door and shouting the name of her partner for a good 20 minutes or so. On both occasions I tried to ring the front desk and on both occasions there was no one to take the call; and no one from the Biddle staff intervened with the rowdy guests. I would happily stay there again, but do remember your noise-cancelling headphones!

I wish I wasn’t put in a room a half a mile from the desk, and full baggage carts would be nice, although they may not fit in the elevator? Anyway, other than that, it was mostly fine. No breakfast and pay parking is a bit much for the price. But cleanliness, security, and quiet made it nice enough.
