"The hotel was very inviting, decorated impressively for Indiana football games. I hope they do the same for basketball as it gets started! The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the area. The room was so spacious and clean. It had everything we needed in the kitchenette. Breakfast was good, had some unexpected items which was nice. The location is perfect for a quick walk to either the IU football stadium or basketball arena. Highly recommend!"
"GREAT location to IU Bloomington for Family Weekend—GREAT last minute price (day of—do not pay crazy prices beforehand). Would not pay this much for this hotel otherwise—but, lots of space, clean room, many restaurants within walking distance. Comfortable bed. Quiet at night. Able to bring our dog. Plenty if space for our daughter to visit and spend time with us. Do notice the somewhat worn conditions of some things. Just fyi—boil water advisory while we were here. Set your child up with a couple of cases of bottled water when you move them in. Go Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers!"
"Clean room. Was on the highway, but minimal noticeable noise. Only complaint is that there could be a better explanation on how to work the tv. I had the close captioning on when I got there and couldn’t figure out how to turn it off."
"The staff were kind, and the place was clean and managed well, especially for the price bracket I was looking for.
However, it is a cheaper option for a reason. The TV was glitchy. There were only two pillows to each queen bed, and though they were soft they were divided between three of us and they flattened so much it was less than comfortable. They knew three people would be in the room but there were only the standard 2 sets of different sized towels waiting. And the staff member I saw first was sitting so low behind the counter I had trouble seeing and hearing him clearly as I am quite short.
But all of that was perfectly acceptable for the price! Just worth mentioning. And it’s worth noting I never asked for more pillows or towels since the stay was just a quick sleep.
However, my only actual complaint is that I called about their pet policy and I was told there was a $35 fee. I asked clearly if that was really it and if there were any other hidden fees to worry about for the room and was told on the phone very clearly “No. The room is a set price and the pet fee is $35.” But when I arrived, I had a sudden $100 pet deposit to pay. I almost couldn’t due to budget restrictions. He said, “It’s normal.”
Price transparency matters!
Still, the complementary breakfast was nice, with options, and the establishment was right on a main road so there were plenty of places to go to shop and eat. It was perfect for a place to crash for a couple hours between destinations."
