"Not sure where to start with this hotel. It’s in historic Bisbee, so I wasn’t expecting new or modern convenience, which this hotel doesn’t have, but I was expecting a little charm being a 100+ year old property. And this hotel has all the charm of a roadside Quality Inn in Missouri last remodeled in 1993.
Our room didn’t have a desk, which I would’ve assumed at this price point would’ve been standard (at least for the Show Me State Quality Inn it would’ve been) and the space in the room even with a king size bed most definitely had enough room for a desk and chair. The bathroom had seen better days, with a drip stained bathtub and tile that would make any Burger King bathroom proud. With only 6-7 rooms, there’s such a low bar for opportunity to make this hotel a special, charming boutique place, but it appears that’s not the owners’ goal at all.
So if not modern, convenient, or charming, maybe this is considered a good value for Bisbee? It didn’t strike me as such; I felt one night was worth about half as much as we paid. The only reason I didn’t give a lower overall rating is the bed was very comfortable, one of the best we experienced on our two week Southwest roadtrip. So that’s all this place is, somewhere to comfortably sleep, but not a place to relax, shower, enjoy the charm of a late 19th century mountain mining town, or check emails at a desk. "
