Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Wautoma
10/10 Excellent
"Pool and hot tub were great.(No deafening echo's of screaming kids like most pools). The room was clean ,bed was comfortable, lots of pillows on the beds and plenty of towels. My only complaint would be the refrigerator was plugged into a light switch outlet once we turned that light switch on it sounded like it was working but it never got cold the 2 days we stayed there. We turned the dial to colder it was tepid at best the mini freezer part never worked."
"It’s a very well used resort area a little bit on the older side, but very clean and quiet not a super waterpark but if you don’t mind the quietness and just a regular old pool, it is perfect"
"-outlets without the usb port seems to be a downer as it is turned into a common feature in hotel stays.
-hooks in the bathroom for towels bathing suits woulda been nice. Maybe a hook or two on the door then, a few plastic hooks in the shower by the shower head for the swim suits (since the main attraction is the water park)
-coffee stands!
Make it a whole part time job for people to go around to every building and place a coffee stand (first come first serve) and have them do rounds for refills. I’m not sure on how blue prints go for the park but there’s got to be a way to get your guests free coffee in the mornings. It’s a blessing to wake up but also you feel like family when you get free cup of coffee.
Thank you for listening"
"Obviously with everything brand new it all looked very nice. The room was nice. It was quiet. The pools were nice and warm. The downsides were there's only one elevator and its on one side of the building and if youre put all the way on the other side its quite a trek. There is a $100 per night incidentals charge and a $30 per night resort fee. My silent flabbergasted stare at the front desk clerk like he'd lost the plot when he told me that and thankfully he charged us less than the $100 per night fee. To me this is excessive. If youre staying a week or longer than a night or 2 thats a bit bogus and I really hope they reconsider that policy.
Secondly while the pools are nice the constant multiple lurking security/staff in the pool area were a bit unnerving as they truly just stare at guests the whole time. And Im sure they are to make sure adults in the bar area dont get out of control or people getting rowdy but it was definitely weird.
Lastly while it does have some kid amenities its honestly really just geared more toward adults.
A shout out to the gal and guy that stood outside greeting guests with a friendly smile and warm welcome each time you came and went though."
"River Road Motel is what you would expect if a crackhead managed a motel. The onsite manager is a felon with a history of sexual predation. Don’t take my word, you can either look it up or find out for yourself. I’ve contacted the Wisconsin Dells police so they can address it properly."
