Noon Lodge at Mallard Bay

10/10 Excellent

"Fabulous 3 night- 2 day stay. We arrived later than expected and found our key waiting for us. The cabin was so cute, clean, and well-appointed. Cool air at night through the screened windows and fan, and a quiet clientele respectful of the quiet hours. Charming center fireplace and table with candles in common area set such a lovely , restful atmosphere. We enjoyed the pool, free bikes, and free canoes. I read and rested in a Adirondack chair for hours uninterrupted and watched the ducks swimming by. This place exceeded our expectations and was very memorable."

"As with much of Big Bear, the buildings are older, but they are well maintained and rooms/condos are updated. It’s clean. Our lake view rooms had a lake view. My only drawback is that parking is tight, barely enough spaces and we were here during the week. Otherwise - great, and if we return to the area, we would stay here again."

"Our stay at Studio Nine in Big Bear Lake, California, was a delightful experience. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with exceptional customer service. As we unloaded our vehicle and headed upstairs to our room, my significant other realized we had forgotten the check-in slip with our room code. Before we could even reach the stairs, a kind woman who had checked us in kindly asked if we needed anything. She promptly jogged over to the front desk, returned up the stairs to our waiting spot, and kindly provided us with a second check-in slip with the code and details. Her warm smile and thoughtful gesture made for a truly memorable customer service experience. We had booked the premium room with a king-size bed, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was cozy and newly renovated, featuring a microwave, a small refrigerator (standard size at most motels), and a nice-sized television. The king-size bed was spacious, firm yet comfortable, and boasted a large walk-in shower. However, be sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, as the bathroom only has hand soap by the sink. One of the highlights of our stay was the convenient location of the hotel. Everything in town was within a pleasant walk or a short drive. However, there were a few minor drawbacks. The room was lovely and cozy, but it might feel a bit cramped for larger groups. The loveseat in the room was comfortable for sitting, but I wouldn’t recommend sleeping on it. "We enjoyed our stay and didn’t have any problems while we were there. This a self-checkin place, so we didn’t meet any staff but everything was well explained and provided in advance that we didn’t need to contact them. The location is also a few minutes from the village, which is very convenient. The one thing that we were not prepared for was the coyote screams in the middle of night, but now that we know how they sound like we won’t be scared next time."

"You can check into the property by texting and then you are issued the lobby and room codes. I didnt know this and Expedia doesnt provide the property with a phone number to be contacted at. Andrew was great and very approachable and helpful. The main building needs to be opened up to air out the lobby and hotel area upstairs. It had a dusty odor. Property is kept up nicely. Cuhions and seat right outside the lonby are not inviting as they are full of sand and blocked by tables. Cabin areas looked great. Picnic tables and shady trees. The onsite restaurant was awesome. Sam was very helpful. Good Pho."

"Amazing, luxurious cabin-like condos with amazing amenities. Really close to the Big Bear Villiage and all the activities down there. Only downside is when we went, the pools were under construction, and I was looking forward to swimming. Would stay here again, once construction is done."
