"This was one of our favourite hotel stays ever! Beautiful wood panelled lodge set into the hills of the Black Forest. The room was spotless and the food at dinner and breakfast was faultless too. The service was friendly throughout. The view from the beer garden alone is worth coming for. 10/10

The hotel did find another available accommodation with a different property in another town and drove our party there - however would have to pay all over again, and none of the amenities important to us. They ended up ensuring some kind of accommodation but this cost our party a lot of time (including additional hiking the next morning), and unnecessary stress. No effort has been made to offer reimbursement. The Expedia team has been very empathetic and tried to help but that didn’t help that this put a dent into an otherwise fun weekend"
