"Polite staff who were happy to help at any time, and overall a neat and nice place to stay. Wifi connection did go out at times, but was otherwise stable and even excellent for the price of the stay. I highly recommend staying here :)
There are plenty of shops and restaurants within 2km of the hotel, so there's always somewhere to go. "

The Hotel Kazakhstan is my top choice for several reasons: It is in a prime location in the heart of the city where you can easily walk to many of the main attractions--the Green Bazaar, Panfilov Park, Ascension Cathedral, Kok-Tobe funicular, the opera house, etc. Almaty is a city made for walking!
