The internet was broken, no elevetor - no airconditioning and the bugs - flies and wasps flew into the room. Had to have the windows open because it was so hot. Nice older couple ( I'm 74 myself) but in way over their heads. Really too bad. I booked another hotel through expedia and move - a good hotel the Mercure.

Ich bin ganz hin- und hergerissen: Toller herzlicher Empfang und Service in einem klassischen Berliner Altbau in schöner Friedenauer Lage. Das Hotel hat Charme. Klasse. Unangenehm empfand ich, dass das Bad außerhalb des Zimmers lag und die Badewanne unter einer Dachschräge als Dusche zu nutzen ist. Auch die Handtücher haben schon einen "Vintage"-Stil, der dem schönen Haus nicht gerecht wird. Das trübt das positive erste Bild etwas ein. Wer es "familiär" mag und sich mit den Gegebenheiten arrangieren kann, ist hier gut aufgehoben.

Ett pensionat i en stillsam del av Berlin

Ett annorlunda hotell - mer ett pensionat ,i en stillsam del av Berlin. Mycket familjärt och med en värdinna/hotellägare som mestadels vistades på hotellet och dessutom talade svenska efter flera års vistelse i Sverige. En mycket trevlig trädgård där man kunde sitta och inte sin frukost bidrog till trevnaden men hotellet är kanske därför mest till sin fördel under tiden maj - oktober.

Das Hotel ist sehr einfach aber sauber. Die Räumlichkeiten sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, haben aber Charme. Den Preis für die Übernachtung in einem sehr kleinen Doppelzimmer fand ich etwas überzogen.

Mangelhafte Hotelführung

Licht und Fernseher funktionierten nicht. Badutensilien vom Vormieter waren noch im Badezimmer. Handtuch und Fußmatte wurden verwechselt. Frühstück wurde zu spät geliefert. Auf Reklamationen wurde nicht reagiert.

History at every turn

Berlin is deep in my family history The hotel does not disappoint and so all is in tact for me It is a big ask and it delivers and I can imagine so it would for those who came before me I can’t help getting mushy about this

Sehr hübsches individuelles Hotel mit viel Flair!

Das Literaturhotel lädt zum Entspannen ein. Die Zimmer sind alle individuell antik gestaltet und sehr gemütich. Auch der Speisesaal und Garten sind wirklich sehr schön- man fühlt sich wie zuhause. Das Frühstücksbuffet war super gut und der Service sehr freundlich, ich würde geren mehr als 5 Sterne geben! Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt- ich komme definitiv wieder!

Quaint and comfortable

The hotel is lovely and the room was very comfortable. We stayed five nights, so it was convenient to have a sitting area in our room. The neighborhood was very quiet, but there were plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops and a supermarket just up the street. Towards the end of our stay, the room and bathroom were in need of a good clean (it did not appear to be vacuumed or mopped for the five nights we were there).

Hotel is klassiek ingericht, maar 22 kamers met douche De kamer en badkamer waren heel schoon, Elke dag schoonmaak, netjes en verzorgd. Ontbijt was uitstekend met verschillende gerechten. Verwacht geen buffet als een groot hotel maar heel lekker Personeel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam Openbaar vervoer in de directe nabijheid Parkeerplaats aanwezig. Hotel ligt aan de buitenkant van Berlijn, dichtbij uitvalswegen in een rustige buurt

Schönes Haus mit billigem Badzubehör.

Erster Eindruck individuell und schönes Hotel. Leider habe ich noch nie so dünne und ausgewaschene, brettharte Handtücher gesehen. In der Dusche stand ein fast leeres Shampoo von Balea (schon auf den Kopf gestellte) und ein Duschgel. Ich habe durchaus Verständnis, dass man aus umwelttechnischen Gründen auf kleine Fläschen verzichten möchte aber ein schöner kostengünstiger Spender wäre hier angebracht gewesen. Das Frühstück war sicherlich gut aber ich habe leider nur noch die leeren Platten mitbekommen. Ich hätte meine Kritik auch gerne persönlich angebracht (wurde auch beim Bezahlen nach meiner Meinung gefragt) hatte leider Zeitdruck und wähle diesen Weg. Trotzdem ein schönes Haus, nur der Blick für die Kleinigkeiten sollte geschärft werden.

Günstiges?Hotel mit sehr guten Frühstück

Wir waren zum Berlin Marathon in Berlin, offensichtlich eine schlechte Reisezeit für Berlin. Das Hotel ist gut gelegen, an U/ S Bahn, aber nicht gerade Zentrumsnah. Sehr gut hat mit der Parkplatz gefallen, klein aber kostenlos vorhanden. Das Frühstück war sehr sehr gut. Ggf. sollte man auf den Obstsalat achten, sonst ist alles sehr gut. Kleines Bad, sehr kleiner nicht mehr zeitgemässer Fernseher. Die Zimmer waren leider etwas verstaubt, die Betten waren aber offensichtlich sauber, geschlafen haben wir sehr gut. Insgesamt würde ich evtl. wieder hier schlafen.....

mysigt hotell med bra läge för bilturister

Mysigt hotell med egen parkering om än trång sådan. Nära till flera kommunikationer till city. Servicen suverän Dottern i huset talade svenska och var mycket serviceminded och hjälpsam. Rummet var fint men som vanligt var kuddarna lövtunna - även dubbelvikta. Toaletten trång och det saknades duschartiklar och avställningsplats för necessärer o dyl.
