Friendly staff, clean bed and bath; carpets didn’t look clean - very stained! Location is short ride from the main areas, safe but not vibrant. Right on the road, ease if access but lower level rooms get traffic noise, unless window is tightly shut. No AC, a floor fan is provided.

Great choice close to station

Good value hotel, walking distance from Hauptbahnhof, in a quiet area. The Berlin Natural History Museum is directly opposite and is really interesting

Nice hotel really close to main train station

Nice hotel and a great location, 10 mins from main station. Couple of small items- we were not provided with the normal information in the room, so we didn't know checkout times, bar prices etc, lots of drawers and cupboards in rooms so we may have missed it. On the first night we could not work out how to close the curtains, this made for a very bright morning, we worked it out the next day! If you have the circular room on the top floor look for a switch to close the curtains. staff were excellent.

Decent price and location

Place was nice and clean with a family feel. My only complain was noise at night from the rumble of trains and traffic, but location is decent and felt safe.

Location is great. Price was very high for the quality of the room. Room is very noisy because of all the activity outside. One odd thing was the employee working at front desk who Judy ignored us when we were waiting to check in.

Very noisy and very hot, I didn’t sleep at all the first night as if I had the window open there was lots of noise from ambulances, cars and people yelling but too hot with windows closed. Rooms very much need air conditioning. Good location and clean rooms.

Great location with good transport links, tram stop and U bahn within very short walking distance. Easy to get to main attractions and many within 20-30 mins walking distance. Hotel was clean and comfortable - rooms fairly basic and quite noisy with traffic if facing the main road - however, as were on the corner, had a bigger room than most with great views down towards the Hamberger Bahnhoff. Breakfast seemed expensive so we found excellent cafe a short distance away (Coffee Seven). Grocery shops a few minutes away and plenty of good eating options towards Rosenthaler Plats and Unter den Linden. All in all would recommend and would return if coming back to Berlin.

The room was in need of repair. The shower flooded the bathroom, which in turn flooded the sleeping area of the room. The “pillows” on the bed were not pillows at all, they were sheets put into a pillow case.

Excellent venue at a reasonable price. Breakfast comprehensive and good. One word of warning. I booked a twin bedded room as opposed to a double room thinking we would get separate beds but we were given a room with two beds joined together and no room to separate them.

Would not recommend

Where to start…. We arrived in the room to find that the air conditioning was set so that you could not change the temperature to below 22° making the room incredibly stuffy and hot. We had one window which opened which was the length of a door to the noisy street outside (on the first floor so people could see in if it was open). The huge windows from top to bottom of the room made having the curtains open difficult as it heated the room up (there was no way to cool it down) and completely hindered any privacy however this meant no light in the room because there was only a lamp and two reading lights above the bed - no main light. The beds were extremely springy and uncomfortable and we were not given pillows but instead given a thin duvet and duvet cover folded up into a pillow shape which was incredibly uncomfortable and made sleep almost impossible. The room service was also pretty poor, all that was given was making the bed. Our towels were not changed throughout our stay and our coffee and tea were not topped up. Also, the photos on the website do not match the reality of the hotel in the slightest. However, the staff on the front desk were perfectly pleasant and helpful it’s just a shame everything else didn’t match the same quality.

I was kind of shocked at the hotel when we entered the building after reading the reviews. The carpet was sticky and had lots of stains. The sockets on one side of the bed didn't work. There was no curtain on the window in the bathroom so when it was night and we had to go, we couldn't use a light because then people on the street would see us. The individual checking people in also served as the bartender? Not enough staff support. No peepholes in the door to see who is knocking and also our door stayed open behind us!

Kleine kamer en aan de straatkant, zeer veel geluid. omdat er geen airco aanwezig is ben je genoodzaakt de ramen open te zetten waardoor het luidruchtig is. Goed ontbijt en de kamer was wel netjes. Er was een trap afgesloten wat onveilig is. afgelopen weekend een brandalarm gehad waar vanuit de aanwezige medewerkers geen enkel hulp of respons kwam. Ze hadden werkelijk geen idee wat ze moesten doen. Uiteindelijk ging het om een brand in de afvalcontainer maar de gasten werden totaal niet meegenomen of geïnformeerd.
