As it was August, we weren’t surprised to find ourselves in an attic room but we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely big bathroom with a bath, and the towels were so soft but absorbent at the same time, which isn’t often the case. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and it was quiet all night.
The hotel is characterful and the staff are pleasant, they were working very hard during the busy dinner. We were rather disappointed with the meal:my partner’s rump steak was very chewy and my sea bass (£24) was minuscule, the “new potatoes” appeared to have been deep-fried and the capers were so salty that I was really thirsty all night! Luckily in the room is provided bottles of still and sparkling water, very much appreciated! We also liked the coffee machine.
We would definitely come back, probably out of season when rooms are much cheaper.
We enjoyed a lovely walk up to the windmill and then back along the picturesque coast.
