This was our first trip to Beijing. we chosen the Oriental Garden Hotel because the good location, closes to the airport express and subway and downtown. We arrived at night. The receptionist in the front desk was very nice and gave us a free upgrade to luxury presidential suit with a big living room, office,

Spacious and spotless

A delightful surprise! Room was spotless and maids came twice a day! Bathrooms were huge and provided lots of free extras, and the refrigerator was well stocked. We were also given robes and slippers and a bottle of wine. Comfortable bed and a spacious room. Breakfast was fantastic!

We really like the hotel and the room.

The hotel looks bright, model, and clean. It was conveniently located with only a short walk to Dongzhimen subway station and nearby shopping. The room is nicely decorated with good amenities. The bed and bedding are comfortable; so is the airconditioning. The room was quiet. The staff was helpful and able to accommodate us for a later checkout. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again if we return to Beijing in the future. We didn't try the hotel buffet breakfast as it's kind of expensive. However, it's not hard to find food nearby.

Old and smelly

The reception is very poor and slow. I was given a room that is so smelly and they told me that they are doing an experiment. After two nights i complaint to the manager and was then changed to another room. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Many great restaurant nearby, Express train to the airport and subway nearby.
