The front desk staffs can be more engaging and friendly. They are very helpful when requested. Just that it would make the guests more welcome with greetings like 你好 or "Good morning" when seen passes by.

The staff were very helpful, we arrived early 10am and they were able to give us a room straight away which I thought was excellent service. The property was very clean and tidy and is close to subways and malls. The only negative I could see was it is very outdated.

I had a pleasant stay at the Grand Mercure Beijing Central. The staff provided excellent service, and the lobby was charming and well-maintained. My room was comfortable and thoughtfully arranged. However, the air-conditioning only produced warm air, making the room less comfortable, and there were no options for a hot coffee available around 6 a.m. Overall, a lovely hotel with great service and atmosphere, but improvements to air-conditioning and early-morning amenities would enhance the experience. ⭐ 3.5 / 5

I liked that most staff were helpful and spoke some English. I didn’t like the location as the immediate area around it was kind of deserted., you had to walk 10-15 min to closest metro or mall.

Honestly? This hotel kinda ate. Staff was super sweet, the room and bathroom were spacious, and the lobby is low-key adorable with tons of seating. Plus there’s a coffee shop and an ice cream bar in the lobby, and a couple little stores and an ATM right next door. However, the air conditioner was only blowing warm air, which made the room uncomfortable, the shower space is tiny, and the coffee shop opens way too late (like please, bare minimum is 6am). Additionally, the surrounding area offers limited walkability; most shops, restaurants, and landmarks are only accessible by car or rideshare.

From the 7th floor lift, the place looks like someone just smoked half a box of cigars. Staff were pleasant and helpful/ responsive to questions. I recommend more generous toiletries like shower gel, shampoo, etc…Bathroom water does not cool down right away. I did not take breakfast because I needed it earlier—before 7 am. Overall, good, short stay.

The hotel is older for sure and need some upgrades. The stay is ok in general. Do appreciate the executive lounge. The executive twin room description is not accurate as the room we got is much smaller and the twin bed is very small for 2 people. Not sure how it can sleep 3 people.
