What a wonderful location, 2 minute walk from the bus stop, and close to the forbidden city. Easy to find as well, just be careful as we put the wrong address in and walked to a different hotel. The hotel staff are nice, however the speak very very little english, they could not even tell us where a shop was. Room was spacious, comfy bed, places to put bags and clothes. Only downside was bathroom a bit small, only one person at a time can fit, which is not a problem, this hotel wins because of the location.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
The property was hard to find. Language barrier with staff
The entire hotel - including our room - smelled like cigarette smoke. The name of the hotel and the address are not correct, which was very alarming when we arrived and were trying to get a cab to take us to the hotel. The hotel is actually named Jade Youth Hostel it seems. The bed was super hard and uncomfortable. We really only needed the hotel for a layover, and I was happy to leave as soon as possible.
Friendly staffs, enough amenities, best location.
The one bad thing was a map in Expedia was wrong and took time to got there because can’t use google maps in China.
This is a hostel, not a hotel. Located down an alley, small rooms and bathrooms where there's no separation between shower, sink and toilet - after your shower the entire bathroom floor is wet and slippery. Not a pleasant place to stay .

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The location and the facilities are very good, but the cleanliness is not good. Also the receptionist didn’t have customer service at all. Every time we asked her something she was doing other things and could not take a second to reply us appropriately.
The hotel seems to have a few names, which caused some confusion. The condition of our room was not great, the shower flooded the bathroom, the toilet blocked up. The air con was noisy and did not cool the room sufficently. The front desk staff caused issues over the breakfast and tried to double charge us when it had already been paid for.
They say that they have staff that speak English, which they did, but it was broken English and they could not grasp some simple concepts in a conversation.
The hotel was hard to find, but walkable to the Forbidden City.
The WiFi was really poor.
DON'T save that extra $50 or so a night to book this HOTEL. It was a horrible experience. I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE. BOOK A 5 STAR HOTEL. I promise you, YOU will be much happier and safer.
The first night I checked in, the front desk FAILED to mention to us that there wasn't any hot water or AIR CONDITIONING. It wasn't till the next morning I asked the front and then they told us that it is broken till Monday (which was not true, because when I came back on Monday night, THE SIGN WAS STILL THERE that said it was broken).
Another thing is the front desk worker failed to give us the right information or be of any help to us when we asked about the Forbidden City (which they SHOULD KNOW MORE THAN ANYONE SINCE THE HOTEL IS LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO IT) We asked the front desk and she told us on the day we were planning to visit which was a Sunday, "IT WAS CLOSED". She misinformed us and almost caused us to missed visiting the forbidden city. Luckily we spoke to some other foreigners like us and they told us the forbidden city wasn't close on Sundays.
Lastly, this did it for me to write this review. At the front there is a huge sign that says "CURRENCY EXCHANGE", and when asked to do a currency exchange after walking several blocks back to the hotel, the front desk said "NO CHANGE". So I point up and ask what was this sign then? she said I don't know.
Spend a bit more and you will have better service, and a better experience in Beijing. I left that place as soon as I can.
