"Good overnight only. The rooms could have better pillows and king size. The pillows were flat standard and 4 per king bed not enough. "

"We booked our stay through Expedia, expecting a room with a balcony and an ocean view. Unfortunately, our dining experience at the High Tide restaurant was disappointing. From the hostess who seated us to the uncomfortable low seating at our table, everything felt subpar. The food had no flavor at all, especially when compared to their sister property, Bernardus, in Carmel Valley—there’s simply no comparison. On a positive note, the pool and staff at the hotel were excellent and very accommodating. However, while the room was decent, it did not justify the additional price we were charged for our two-night stay."

"Room and refrigerator were clean. Staff both reception and housekeeping were very accommodating. The breakfast buffet area always seemed a little cramped. Waffles were a hit but had to stand in line the first morning a long time as only two waffle makers. Almost always a line to make waffles. I guess the line depends on how many guests show up at the same time. Muffins were the same everyday, it would be nice to have options. Always plenty of bacon, scrambled eggs, and sausages. No hot chocolate packets :( but other option coffee, tea, milk, juices. There was a $25 parking fee per night and I didn’t remember that being mentioned prior to our stay. Around that area there were no other options for overnight parking so no choice. Good to know the parking area is secured. Easy walk to the beach wharf, boardwalk and downtown. Visited the Museum, lots of great I for about the bay. Fun for all ages. I stay definitely again."

"If you want sleek and fancy, this is not for you. If you want warm, historic, and lovely, there’s no better place. I’ve been coming here for 20 years or more, and have always felt welcome and taken care of. Adriana and Constantin are Old World hosts in an increasingly cold world. And location could not be more perfect, between downtown and the beach."

"Going to the boardwalk, we stayed most of our time there. But we did use the room to rest and sleep in. Since we arrived early, they did allow us to park there for an extra fee, which we didn’t mind. The staff were very helpful as well. We were very close to the boardwalk and don’t really have anything negative to say about it. We will definitely be staying here when we return."
