"We had a villa with private pool with 2 kids of 3 and 5 years old. It was very spacious and well decorated. The swimming pool is not big but perfect for us and in a nice location in the middle of pines and cork oaks.
Cleaning was done every day. People were nice and helpful.
Just a point of attention : we thought there was a laundry we could use : it is not the case.
Some mosquitos. Car is required.

"This hotel was a historic property dating back to the 14th century. Walking the cloisters and hallways was magical. Don’t miss the museum in the crypt below the hotel. So much history, dating back to the Bronze Age. I have never stayed in such an amazing property. Magnificent!"
"This property is NOT where it shows on the map, it is 10 minutes down the street and not in the village of Comporta. There is only one AC unit, and the bedrooms get very hot. The house was not clean upon arrival and the cleaning people were still there. The microwave didn't work either. I am still waiting for my refund. The management company is difficult to work with and communicate with. Cute pool though. "

"We stayed here for 2 nights and it was alright for what we needed it for. Nothing special.
We didn’t realize just how in the middle of nowhere it would be. It’s quite remote and the country roads to get there are a bit tricky to navigate at night. We were exploring comporta for the two days that we were there but it’s about a 40 min drive so if you’re thinking of exploring comporta just keep that in mind.
Also, there are no doors in the bathroom which we did not enjoy.
Lastly, the room itself had some things that needed fixing. For example, the bottom of the door was completely falling off and the floor which is made up of some type of cork looked like it needed a refresh - it was stained on multiple areas.
The breakfast included was also just ok - the eggs were cold and so was the bacon. We got to breakfast at 10 AM so I guess if you’re an early riser it might’ve been warm but they could also invest in better equipment to keep the food warm for the rest of us that are jet lagged and not up at the crack of dawn.
Overall, it was just an ok experience. "

The music during dinner sets the perfect tone, breakfast is fresh and light, and the entire atmosphere feels intimate and special without ever being pretentious.
I honestly can’t think of a single thing I’d change. It’s rare to find a place that checks every box — but this one does. It’s easily the best experience I’ve had anywhere in Portugal, and I feel so lucky to have found it. Like something out of a movie — only better, because it’s real.

ONLY ISSUE is you cannot leave the property to go to dinner or to the beach without paying 110 euros to get there and back. They should have a shuttle to Comporta but do not.
