"So I’ll start with I’m happy they had availability but I really wished I had checked the Cheerio Inn bc that’s where I normally stay. But aside from the availability, I was happy to be greeted by the owners and their dog who was sweet. Check in was seamless even though she wasn’t accustomed to the hotels.com booking and I was able to get to my room quickly. Cheerio Inn was everything i'd hoped it would be. Sure, it's an old Motel on a forgotten highway from the glory days of America (that's also a plus point in my book) but the service and cleanliness couldn't have been better. I have stayed at luxury hotels that were no cleaner. We even had starched sheets! We travelled for 6 weeks through the South and this was hands down the most comfortable mattress and pillows on the whole trip. So yes, it's an old Motel but it has added the touches tyou need...
