"We stayed one night at the Beaumont Hotel. The lady at reception gave us a helpful tag we could use to park longer across the street. The hotel had a popular restaurant area. There were also other restaurants nearby. Our room was comfortable, and we had a nicely cooked breakfast, with many options, the next morning."

"This was a charming place to stay. There were sheep in the field outside our window. There were cookies and tea things in our room. There was a nice common room/library with lots of maps and guide books. We had a delicious full Scottish breakfast in the morning. We'd love to stay there again!"

"Hotel is run by James and Susan with some additional staff. The check in was quick and friendly, our room clean with view of the river, good shower. We ate twice in the evening and food was good. Breakfast was in the Admiral's room which was well decorated, bright and atmospheric. The building dates back to 1422 and has had several extensions and repurposed from the original court house to an Admiralty rest house to hotel and pub. The external fabric could do with some maintenance and decoration. Would book again."
