In the city centre, Hotel Barcelona Universal is in Barcelona's Ciutat Vella neighbourhood, an area with good airport proximity and shopping. Gran Teatre del Liceu and National Art Museum of Catalonia are cultural highlights, and some of the area's notable landmarks include Palau Guell and Barcelona Cathedral. Barcelona Aquarium and Barcelona Zoo are not to be missed. Our guests appreciate the hotel's location for the sightseeing.
Really helpful staff on reception, couldn’t do enough to help or give advice on what to do in Barcelona. Unfortunately the roof terrace was closed for the duration of our 5 night stay even though we were advised that the bar would be available. Hotel was in a good location very close to the metro which we used frequently and found a great way to travel around and see the sights.
I wouldn’t mind staying here again. Metro right in front of entrance. Very convenient. Room and bathroom very clean and I loved the shower! No English subtitles on the TV.
THE FURNITURE AT THE LOBBY IS RUNDOWN . NOTEWITHSTANDING THE BREAKFAST BUFFET IS DELICIOUS AND OF QUALITY .
