I was in need of a short 2 night stay at a hotel in Barcelona while visiting a friend. I was able to find the Barcelona Century which looked like a no frills, clean and well priced option. So based on a lot of other reviews I thought I would go for it.
I wasn’t disappointed and this was perfect for the sort of stay I would need. There’s no additional facilities like a pool or a gym but if you need those things you would be looking at a more expensive hotel and likely for more days.
The hotel was easy to find (about 9 min walk from Urgell station) pretty much in a straight line so it made it really easy. When arriving the receptionist was friendly and happy to help. Check in was quick and my room was ready upon arrival. I was staying in a single room which I was really pleasantly surprised about because the room was perfectly ample for what I needed it for and the bathroom was a good size too. The cleanliness was impressive and thorough too.
The room included a fridge and safe as well as a Tv on the wall and desk area. The bed was a single, but perfectly comfortable for what I needed and the air conditioning worked really well too.
The bathroom was clean and well looked after the shower was a great size and the water was hot when needed. The towel was a big bath towel too which was really good to see.
The area was nice with restaurants and cafes nearby, it’s a well situated hotel and I highly recommend it!
