I arrived from my flight early. The staff held my luggage with great service! The breakfast staff was excellent as I kept oversleeping due to extreme jet lag. They kept breakfast warm to the last minute and great coffee. Thank you!

Lovely welcome Beautiful spacious room Fantastic rooftop bar Great breakfast choice Hotel is not far from La Rambla and had some lovely small traditional bars and restaurants in the area. Only one downside in my opinion. At night, the immediate area outside of the hotel had a lot of vagrant/undesirable types which our taxi driver also warned us about. Typical of a big city perhaps.

Excellent location. Lovely rooms. Rooftop pool is more for a dipping pool, quite small and it tends to be filled with 20 somethings not really suitable for families. Location is very central but parts of it are quite dodgy with homeless people around. The area is predominantly a muslin area. Near to metro and bus and only about half an hour by taxi from airport.

The hotel is good and with friendly personnels. But the area around the hotel is awful. Specifically the shops restaurant at right side of the Hotel when you leave the hotel. It seems Muslims man sitting outside looking bad and sometimes exchanging words when women and girls are passing by. To me it is obviously harassment. If the area is going to be taken care of, the hotel is good.

The room was very nice, Staff were friendly and helpful. It was different having large washcloths, and the tub/shower felt weird in design, but it was an adjustment (we were traveling to a different country). The breakfast could have been better, we thought there was a menu and it ended up being a buffet of pastries, toast, some meats and cheeses and a few cooked items. I preferred the bakery that was within walking distance. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back. *if you're from the US, bring an outlet converter! Also, I learned by asking the cab driver to go to the Gothic Quarter that we were already in it. There were so many food options (don't do Crispy Chicken) and just walking around you ran into so much history and architecture that made you feel like you were in a movie as opposed to seeing the buildings and old historic landmarks on TV. So, the hotel's location is 👌.

The Bracelo Raval was a short ride from the cruise terminal. The hotel was unique with its shape and decorating, but it was clean, with amazing views. The staff were accommodating to store our luggage until our room was ready. The location to the tourist sites; the amazing Market, Gothic Quarter and the Hop on and Off Bus was convienent, however the surrounding streets were not ideal to be in after dusk. The area the hotel was located in was not the cleanest and seem to be home to a different crowd of people than we were used to. We were grateful for the morning buffet breakfast. It was an exceptional way to start the day. Our evening meal was lovely with live music. The rooftop terrace was amazing. The pool and the view do give this hotel bonus points. It was exceptional to see the city from the 11th floor. It was also nice to see how well visited this rooftop was used. Although parts of the stay we rated as 5 star, the location of the hotel for me had to lower the over all stay to a 4 star. The Barcelo Raval was an overal nice hotel to end our holiday in Europe.
