We would recommend Princetown Guesthouse to anyone. It was quiet, very clean, convenient to town centre and comfortable.
Sonya and Gavin who operate the business were super friendly and helpful.
Great guest house( 1st time staying in a guest house for over 20 years) Sonia & Gavin, a lovely couple run this place. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. Lovely room, comfortable bed, huge bath and a fantastic healthy breakfast. A home from home. Thanks very much.
The guesthouse was full of Victorian character but the bedrooms were furnished on an elegant modern style. Ours had wonderful sea views and loads of wardrobe space. TV with free view. Sonia and Gavin were excellent hosts providing range of original fresly prepared and delicious breakfasts and information about the local area. The sea front was five minutes walk away with a range of restaurants and takeaways. Bangor is a very pleasant town while within an easy drive are the beautiful Ards peninsula and giant's causeway and the fascinating history and culture of Belfast. Northern Ireland is a wonderful place; Bangor is a great base and Princetown Guesthouse the perfect accomodation!
We had a lovely stay with an option to upgrade to a sea view room which was very comfortable.
Host were very friendly and recommended a couple of places to eat. I would also recommend The Nines to eat, picture of breakfast below.
Sonia & her partner were great hosts. Made us feel very welcome. Even took our photo and put it up on their fb page lol. (We were dressed up for lets rock 80s)
An excellent stay in a very comfortable guest house. We were upgraded to a very spacious and airy room. Everything was spotlessly clean and we were given a very friendly welcome.
Breakfast was plentiful and excellent value. There were even fresh flowers from the garden on each table.
The guesthouse is within easy walking distance of Bangor marina and the coastal path towards Crawfordsburn. There are good restaurants and coffee shops in the vicinity. Free off-street parking is available.

2 day stay
Room too small for us. Only 1 chair but 2 people. Pillow poor. Headboard loose and squeaky. Cleanliness good . Proprietor friendly.
While not fancy, this is a lovely property in a central location. The hosts are welcoming and helpful, and they prepare a healthy breakfast for a small extra charge. I will definitely stay at Princetown Guest House when I return to Bangor.
2 houses put together to make one but no elevator to the top floor. Gavin was a perfect host and lugged my bag up to my room. Reeally nice room, great hosts, fantastic food for breakfast and great restaurants at the bay (make reservations). Thank you
We really enjoyed our last minute 2 night stay at Princetown. Our room was clean & spacious with lovely views over Bangor. The location is in a perfect spot for the town centre, train station and lovely coastal walks. The cooked to order breakfasts were an absolute treat (the pancakes 😁) and the hosts are lovely people too. Highly recommend!
Booked a family room for 4 nights as we needed somewhere to stay near Belfast while visiting our daughter. What an excellent place this is. Warm and friendly welcome, made us feel at home from the get go. Hosts were brilliant. Location was spot on. Easy access to Bangor town by foot, Easy access to main routes by car.
Breakfasts made a nice change from the norm (no fry ups). All healthy options. Room was spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Will definitely look to book again should we need to be in the Belfast / Bangor area. Have recommended to family and friends already.
