This is a brand new hotel. We thought the property and room was excellent. Would highly recommend if staying in Banff. 20 minute walk to the centre of town but the free bus service stops outside.

What we didn’t like! The parking was limited, the pool and jacuzzi was not working. Spoke with contractors staff who were eating lunch one afternoon on 06/11. He stated, the pool should have been completed a couple of weeks ago however there were delays. He also stated, that area should be completed by the end of month. The rooms were great I stayed on the 9th floor. The rooms could be improved such as.. there are no make up mirrors for the ladies, no movie channels, they do have the golf channel (guys) lol. The closet space is very limited, my wife cloths took up the whole space, my cloths stayed on the sofa. The safe for the room is to low to the floor the elderly could not get that low or if you had any injury that limit your ability to get up.. I had to lay down on the floor to put the numbers in. Great location, public shuttles were amazing. Never moved the rental car. Accept the ride back to Calgary airport. The staff were great customer service impeccable.

Hotel Canoe was a great experience for us!! It’s beautiful, clean, convienent with the bus stop being right outside. It’s on the edge of town but that means it’s quiet. The staff was lovely, upgrading us to a mountain view room. The bed was comfortable and there was a fridge, microwave and sink in the room. Big bathroom. No bathtub. Shower only. The parking was great as you kind of have personal parking. My only note would be that if you have accessibility issues, this hotel may be annoying depending on what floor you are on as some floors need you to take a special elevator and then a walk to another elevator to get down. Overall I really recommend it. We had a lovely time.

We stayed at this property in June 2024. It is currently under construction and appears like they are adding another adjoining building, but even with the work, it was still a lovely experience. The staff were extremely helpful. Roam Transit tickets were free for most of the local routes. For us, the hotel was perfectly situated…at the north part of town where you are the first one on the bus before it fills up. The bus stops right in front of the hotel. Getting around was so easy! Free parking, free WiFi. Quaint drip coffee/tea for the room each night. Room was comfy and spacious. Housekeeping excellent. Gorgeous views of the mountains from our balcony of room. We would definitely return to this hotel again in the future. We absolutely loved it.

It is a nice place there was a lot of construction still going on and pools were not ready yet even though they charged as though they were open. Front desk staff was extremely helpful. The worst part is the parking the way it's set up in 3's between walls and if you are on an end you can't open your door and if you are the middle you can't open either door. Architect should have his license revoked.
