"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. 6/10 Okay

"The room was quite clean, but I did not like that the carpet in both the room and the hotel was very dirty. I believe a hotel should not have carpets in such poor condition. The staff was okay, but not very friendly. I think this may be related to the way British people are, although if you work in customer service, you should always provide the best experience possible. The breakfast was excellent, with very helpful staff and delicious, fresh food. Parking was average. Also, the lack of air conditioning in the room was very inconvenient, and there was no ice machine available either."

"Perfect stay. Only stayed a night, got there a bit late but there’s a leisure park 2 mins walk away with a cinema, arcade, crazy golf and stuff so if you’re too tired to go out can just go there for some entertainment. Hotel itself was very nice and clean and at a very peaceful and quiet location but only about 10-15 mins away from the centre. Aircon was good as it was a very hot day and the room came with a safe which was a nice touch. Complimentary breakfast had plenty of variety and everything was hot and fresh. Will definitely go again."

"Great hotel, beautiful building. Appreciating the hotel is family owned, it could do with a little modern tlc TV didn’t work in the bedroom for channels 1-4. Extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work, towels are quite old, Check your dinner bill, we had 3 bottles of wine added to the bill but we’d only had 1 £25 bottle. We were being charged for 2 x £45 bottles we’d not had. When we called to get the tv satellite sorted in our bedroom it was the waiter and head waiter who attended our room #faultytowers Could be 5* but I’m reluctant to give it more than 3*, £200 for 1 night without breakfast is expensive for mother and daughter aged 83 & 52. We’ll shop around n xx time."
