"Unfortunately, the property did not meet reasonable cleanliness or maintenance standards. On arrival, the oven and hob were visibly dirty with grease and residue, and the kitchen overall did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was no bin provided anywhere in the property, only loose bin bags left for guests to manage waste themselves. The bathroom showed visible mould around the shower area. This is a hygiene issue that should not be present in a paid short-term let. The sofa in...

Top Balterley Hotel Reviews

Stone House Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely hotel . Bit of a maze to find the room/suite however staff are very helpful . Plenty of parking . Close to local supermarket."

Best Western Stoke on Trent City Centre Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We arrived late at around 10pm and Aaron who was night staff was wonderful! My youngest son was still talking about how nice he was the next morning. The family room we were in had recently been redecorated with new carpet etc and was very clean and welcoming. Beds were slightly hard but others liked them. The walls are however paper thin and unfortunately the family next door woke up at 5am and played music. You can also hear people talking in the next room so be mindful."

Alderley Edge Hotel

8/10 Good

"Unfortunately it was not a good stay at what is a lovely hotel. I did let reception know this morning. Room 8 was the hottest hotel room I have ever stayed in- the lady on reception said due to the log burner. I didn’t sleep after midnight as it was boiling. In addition the big shower head started dripping at 4am and didn’t stop for over an hour. I tried everything including putting the shower on and off and placing towels in the shower to prevent the loud noise. Hopefully these issues can be addressed before another customer stays. I managed to prop the window in the room open this morning with a toilet roll to at least let some air in."
