Bairnsdale Motel met my expectation. As a past local I was aware of the location in regard to the standard of the facility and safety, important as an older (83) single female. I liked being able to park under the building. I enjoyed my dinner on one of the evenings. And the shower - great hot water. It was quiet and I slept soundly until 9am and 10am. Check in was pleasant and staff friendly during the stay when just passing nearby. I make the following comments to make staff aware rather than as a complaint. Not so keen on needing to carry my luggage upstairs to the first floor - there was no offer to assist, and I dont like asking when I know I can manage. I found the high bed a challenge to get into as a short person. I made a comment on leaving and was advised they do have steps to assist - if only I had known. Would I stay again, yes, but I might ask if there are ground floor rooms when I book.

Spacious Room
The hotel room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was lovely and not at all cramped. The only issue was there were no dishes and nothing to wash them with. Reception were so lovely and gave us dishes but we had to try and wash them in the bathroom. Not ideal if you want to eat your own breakfast and have a microwave dinner. So great room if you have all your meals out.

Short break away
This motel is modern and well furnished. The bed was comfortable and the room itself was very clean .it is walking distance to town center and cafes . The motel has a restaurant on site . There is not much traffic noise even it is on the main road through Bairnsdale. Plenty of free parking on site . Does not have a lift to first level
