"Our friends who drive us there couldn’t find anything but a parking garage with the GPS & their van couldn’t drive down into it so we gave up & got an Uber. Our Uber driver left us down at the parking garage level street, dropped us off & showed us a big flight of outdoor stairs to haul our suitcases up to where the main floor of the hotel apparently was. At the top we found the lovely hotel and a friendly person at the desk & checked in.
The next day we were walking around on the actual hotel upper street level & found outdoor escalators that could take you to the lower street level (or up to the hotel street level.)
If this sounds confusing it was and the front desk person said he understood & that only taxis pick up & deliver on the upper level that the hotel is actually on, not Ubers.
Aside from that the included breakfast was good! The place was clean & we were glad we finally found it."
"The parking is secure and behind a security gate. We arrived late at night but we're still offered a welcome drink. There was a small issue with the hot water in the morning. The staff were very generous and extended checkout and breakfast so we could wait to have a shower. A simple gesture but very much appreciated. The rooms are economy so don't expect much but we were surprised at the quality and also the convenience. And the extra attention by the staff. Definitely a place to return to soon. We were attending Paul Ricard Racing Track which is 25 mins away but the convenience is proximity to the motorway. Ask the staff for driving routes. The area is worth exploring "
"The breakfast was comprehensive and included hot items. I purchased it for the three nights I stayed for 15 Euro each day. I paid up front and in hindsight I wish I’d paid by the day. Toulon has some wonderful bakeries open for breakfast, and they aren’t far of a walk from the hotel. I selected the hotel for its location which turned out to be great! The train station and port were short walks away. The staff were welcoming and friendly and spoke English well. I don’t think my room had air conditioning as I tried to get that working on the wall unit but could not. It didn’t matter as I didn’t need it anyway. I was there in early April with very pleasant temperatures. My window also opened to allow a fresh breeze to blow in. Overall I liked the hotel and would book there again! C’est tres bien! "
Best Western Plus Hotel Hyeres Cote D'azur, Hyeres
6/10 Okay
"The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from old town. Parking is available for free and is spacious. The directions to the hotel will bring you to the road that runs right in front of it but you can't access the hotel from it. Better to drive up to it from the direction of a Peugeot dealership that's next to it.
The initial impression of the hotel is nice, but once in my room, I noticed the bed sheets stunk of body odor, the towels were poorly washed and dried. They were grey, even though they were supposed to be dry. There was mildew between the tiles, but I've seen worse so I guess I could have lived with that. But the bed linens are a no go."
"Great value, nice kitchenette and a great room. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Would recommend this place, and come back another time for sure. "
"Gorgeous reimagined property that feels distinctive and quite special, invoking the best of mid century vibes with a contemporary take. Food was lovely, and the location is superb. Our room’s view was one of the best I’ve ever seen! My only critique is the service, while warm, was a little casual for the price of the hotel. For example, they seemed mildly indifferent when I mentioned the lack of hot water in our room’s shower. Perhaps it was just some of that laid back c’est la vie energy that otherwise makes the region so special! And they’re newly opened so I imagine they’ll only improve in the coming months. And I wouldn’t let that prevent me from visiting this lovely corner of the universe! "
