"Location of the Hotel was close to everything especially Floriade . 30 minute walk to War memorial and other buildings of significance. A must do is a visit to The Bonsai Exhibition within the grounds of the superb Arboretum. Staff were the most helpful and friendly of the hotels that we stayed at on our Road Trip . "

"This is my favourite hotel in the entire country. I stay at Ovolo if I can in every city. Even my own! and also including overseas (Hong Kong). The stand out for me at Nishi is the design, the bed linen that is superb and the location. I came for a national photographic portrait prize and you can always pop by what is on. Floriade, another visit to the National Gallery, etc. One thing I noticed, mini bar used to be free. Its gone from great to reduced to a few things to pay for mini bar. It is...

"What a great location, right in the heart of Canberra & for such an amazing price & walking distance to all city attractions. Everything was so neat, clean & tidy with great facilities. "Very clean room and comfortable bed. the kitchen was well equipped incl microwave, oven, electric hob and dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Great location. the reception staff were all friendly. The room and wider building is very tired and really needs full refurbishment; but it’s fine for a short visit. the pool looked pretty decent but i didn’t go it"

"The staff were kind and the rooms are great. I really appreciated that they automatically upgraded me to a larger unit. It was very quiet and had everything you need for a long or short stay -- including washer and dryer. There's a long-term project of installing a light-rail system in Canberra now, so to reach it from the main city bus stops, you have to navigate around a lot of closed roads...but it wasn't too bad.
