Beautiful city of Troyes
The Sarce valley has the nearest vineyards to Troyes after Montgueux. There are several grower champagne houses in the small villages. Champagne is often aged in new or secondhand barrels from Burgundy. The valley would be a great place to cycle. There are several places that sell delicious local produce.
This isn't one of the best known cathedrals in France but it certainly deserves a visit. Fine gargoyles, wonderful stained glass and the place where the rules for the Knights Templar were drawn up.
