"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first. Thanks for a great stay Jenna, nice to meet you 👍"

"Always happy staying here. Only complaint would be the shower over the bath. Not powerful enough."

"The hotel is quirky, old coach inn. The staff were lovely and the room was as expected. We stayed in room 3 with the four poster bed. The only things that let the place down was the parking, if you parked at the back, there was only about 3 spaces and you need to fit through a tight gap to get to it. There is parking on the road but only free from 6pm Saturday night to Monday morning. The host did not mention that they had a party on the evening we stayed until we checked in. Although the music did stop at 11pm. Gutted that we didn't get a chance to sit in the pub area in the evening as it was a unique space. The room was great but the heating did not work and it got quite cold, the window latch was faulty, so couldn't be locked safely. Thankfully the room wasn't for families. The toilet cistern was very loud every time you flushed the toilet. The toilet door needed adjusting as it was hard to close. The four poster bed looked like it wasn't held together well. Was generally clean.The breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked but was let down by the sticky table that we sat at, our glasses and plates were stuck to the table. The atmosphere was great, especially the resident dog who was so lovely. Found out apparently the place was haunted and there was a lovely great big church right next door and was a lovely view from the bedroom. I would stay there again purely for it's character. Price was also reasonable, £94.00 for a night in a room with a four poster bed and open fireplace."

"I booked this hotel for its leisure facilities but unfortunately the pool gym sauna and other amenities were all closed on the day of my stay due to an issue. My bedroom door also didn’t lock at all and anyone could easily open it without a key card. I hadn’t realised this until the next morning and I probably wouldn’t have stayed if I had. The furniture was all very old and tiered looking worn and it desperately needed modernisation. Pillows were very uncomfortable and gave me a sore neck. I never moan at little things and try and resolve things directly but there was so many things wrong that it all really got to me."

"The hotel was fine. It was clean and had everything I needed. The food was great and the staff were friendly. However, I was put in room 30 which is right next door to the fitness studio. There was dance music booming until 10pm then back on at 6:30 am. The music was so loud in the morning I could hear it while I was showering. This, along with the fire door outside my room banging all night meant I had a terrible sleep. When I booked Ithe room online, i stated I was there on business and feel strongly that I should have been put well away from the noise."
