The BB&T Atlanta open, ATP 250, event is a new tennis tournament trying to bring tennis to Atlanta. Two years ago this event moved from Cincinnati to Atlanta. It is odd that Atlanta doesn't have a bigger tournament, considering Atlanta has the largest recreational and USTA players in the country. Amazingly, this event is set up on the side of a new outdoor mall in Atlanta. Three weeks before the event concrete was poured and scafolding erected. All. The courts and grounds were created just for this event, and after will be taken down. For the past couple years I've wanted to go to this event. As a tennis player, it's amazing to see the best in the world play and show that I'll never be nearly as good. So my friend and I went, to what I thought would be the quarter finals, but due rain delays, it was the second round. We got to see Isner, fish, and Blake play their respective opponents. It was a great day! There are vendors and activities around the area. Your tickets are good for all courts, and all day. Just bring lots of sunscreen, I got burned!
