Do not book here ! There was no blankets just bed sheets when we asked for blankets they told me they had no blankets then when I showed them the picture of the beds from the booking site then they came to bring us blankets meaning they lied saying there was no blankets , my boyfriend went to the washroom and there was no toilet paper I had to go downstairs to ask for toilet paper and the guy went into his room and gave me his paper … ew . The beds were uncomfortable, there was a creepy feeling at night time . The lights flickered in our room. The water pressure from the shower was bad. We left a day early. The area around the hotel was very bad even the taxi driver before dropping us off told us to be very careful in this area . I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in

The rooms are basic, but contain everything you need (aircon, fridge, wifi, hot water etc). The location is great. Very close to the trains and busses, a market is nearby as well as some of the best food in Omonia. For a stay in Athens on a budget, this is a great place to stay.

The man at the front desk was very kind and felt badly for us when we expressed concerns about the cleanliness and comfort of the room. He tried to help us by giving us the use of a second room at no additional cost which was very thoughtful. Unfortunately, both rooms were absolutely filthy with grime, dirt and even snot and some brown matter on the walls and the door. I tried to wipe the door down a bit as it was disgusting to touch. Sheets had cigarette hole burns in them and all the mattresses were badly stained. The neighbourhood outside was scary and the cab driver was nervous about dropping us off here and even personally escorted us to the front desk. The best part was rushing out early the next morning. PLEASE do not stay here. I do not know how this hotel ever got a '2 star' rating. It should have been below zero. I rarely complain and have travelled to countries all over the world. But this one I think topped it for awful places to stay. Yikes!!!

Got lost trying to find it. They don’t speak English to tell you how to get there. Navigator said it was unavailable. So internet lousy in the area. Neighborhood didn’t seem safe. Hotel remind me of a brothel house. Embarrass to go in. Dindgy, urine smells around the area and in the street on way to hotel. Bldg old and needs paint and repairs. Staff was not real friendly. Stayed the 10 mins saw my room and walked out. Requested refund they said no

Good location, bit shabby
Easy to find as its wall sign is visible from most of the exits of the Omonia subway station exits. Local areas is cafes / shops etc. Property is somewhat in shabby, room had holes in the tiled floor, the two beds were of different heights and different hardnesses, no curtain on the shower so impossible not to soak the whole small bathroom, soap provided but no shampoo and the room wasn't serviced / cleaned on a daily basis. Otherwise quiet, reasonably well lit, fairly quick checkin, air conditioning worked though there's no heating, had no issues with the wifi, checkout very quick.

None it was smelly the room and don’t speak English. The worst thing was pretending the understand you. I lost my wallet in the train/aiport either one but the hotel i asked told them what happened. I asked where the nearest tourism police they cannot inderstand me.

The clerks were very friendly and helpful. This was a cheap hotel and so my rating of fair should be considered pretty good. The electronic outlet was not firmly fastened to the wall - this is an electrical hazard. The bathroom light did not work. I'm sure if I told the clerk he would have fixed it. I couldn't get the air conditoner to work, but it might have been that I did not understand the remote.

The location of the hotel was good, however the area was very run down, on arrival it did not look appealing. The photos on the website do not match the rooms, ours was on the 6 floor, two single beds, when requested double, only one bath towel, towels was corrected next day upon request. Basically as we say you get what you pay for.

No parking which caused hugh stress as it was rented car. ac not able to change temp lowest 29degrees. fridge was too small, broken and smelles horrible.

An old hotel, with old furniture. The double bed was very small, aboutb129-130cm... the bathroom had the ceiling full of fungus. The furniture in the room was old and used and the walls had missing paintings. We had friends at othe hotel and they were not alowed to come to our hotel to pick us up! The city on the other hand is great! :)

Great short stay
All in all perfect for what I needed, close to the omonia metro line and one stop away from the line I needed to get to the airport. Comfortable bed with a nice airconditioned room. Small shower but good water pressure- kind of sprayed everywhere in the bathroom though... Wonderful friendly staff, even had a nice chat to the cleaner cleaning the room next door. Would recommend if you're just looking for some place to sleep without perks.

Simple but cheap
Good location - almost on Omonia square. Very nice and friendly staff. The bed in our double room was quite narrow, more suitable for single person. Also there was narrow sheet that supposed to cover both of us but it wasn't wide enough. Wi-fi was very weak in our room but I've got cheap sim-card with internet so it was not a problem. In general, normal price-quality ratio but not excellent.

Convenient hotel.. that's about it.
I picked this hotel for its proximity to a metro station. I didn't have high expectations based on the price, reviews on Orbitz and other travel sites, yet was still disappointed. The location, while not in a chic nor pretty part of town was good, but the overall experience was below average. My main concern was being misled by the fact that the Orbitz page indicated "air conditioning" as an available facility but when I asked for the AC remote control I was told different things ranging from "it's broken," to "no AC available after Oct 1," and "you don't need AC as it's not hot." It was difficult to demand what I was promised as the staff spoke little English. Well, it was not a cool night and I arrived from sight seeing all sweaty and wanted AC, but it was not available hence I had an uncomfortable stay. I had to sleep with the windows open which means dealing with loud street noise (location is one of the busiest areas in Athens-- an intersection of 6 major streets), mosquitoes, and heat. My other issues were: thin walls (you can hear guests flush toilets, cough, haul luggage through halls, staff mopping floors, elevator doors clanking all night etc etc). All this could have been abated if the staff would just give me the AC remote control which I know I was entitled to. The overall cleanliness is also questionable.

The hotel was in a great location within walking distance to all the main attractions. The hotel staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. All the appliances worked and that was all I needed in a hotel. Would have been nice though if they had a breakfast option (maybe they did but it wasn't advertised) but it wasn't mandatory as there are a lot of food options nearby.

Stayed in budget rooms plenty of times and this one ranks the lowest. Heard other guests coughing and hacking all night. Have to leave room key with front desk so you don't "lose" it, and when people walk in they just grab off the hooks with Keys and room numbers clearly displayed - where is the security in that? Good points was there was always someone at the front desk for late checkin and the location is steps from public transit.

The front desk couldn't find the hotels.com reservation. I had to go back to the internet cafe and print one out. They allow smoking. Second hand smoke came into my room. Room seemed to have mold or something else that was emitting an odor. The shower has no shower curtain so every time you shower, the water goes everywhere in the bathroom but down the drain. You pay for what you get. I should have been more careful.

Book this "hotel" only if you have to
The worst "hotel" room I've been. Glad I only needed a overnight stay. For the same price as hostel nearby, the only pro is private bathroom. As for location, it is next to subway station. I booked this location because of very late arrival, if I missed the last train and need to take a bus to the city, this is still somewhat a walking distance with luggage. If you want to experience what's the local poor people live like, this maybe the place to look for.

I understand that this is a two start hotel and I was not expecting a majestic palace. The room was small but it had a bed and a bathroom, so upon walking in, I had no complaints. The shower is literally a spout in the wall right next to the toilet but it got the job done. The mattress was too hard for my preference. The real problem I had: the air conditioner. This was my first time in Europe, so the air conditioner did look strange to me. I couldn't figure out how to turn it on the first night so my boyfriend and I slept with the window open. We woke up completely eaten alive by mosquitoes. I try to explain to the male at the desk that the room was hot but the language barrier was a bit rough. It took 3 days for me to be able to explain to someone that the room was hot, he then realizes no one gave me the remote for the air conditioner. I go to my room, and it turns on for a few minutes, continues to shut off. The next morning, I let him know and he condescendingly tells me he gave me the remote and it works. I repeated to him it was still too hot, to which he ignored me. It was awful. We spent 6 nights there, each day was filled of exploring, hiking, walking and site seeing. The fact that we had to come back, shower and wake up sweaty because of the air conditioner was absolutely awful.
