"The historic hotel had lovely decor. The breakfast was ample. The location in Ashland was right in the middle of the business district walkable to the plays, shopping and restaurants. The only quirk was that it has one elevator that holds a maximum of 5 people at a time. Sometimes there is a little wait."

"The property was very quiet, except for a couple of brief exceptions, caused by nearby traffic. We were locked out at the end of our first day, a long day out and about. Still, it was a minor inconvenience, as the weather had been wet and stormy, but was calm as we negotiated our way from the parking near our room to the lobby and back to our room. The staff were very apologetic, and offered some free amenities for the inconvenience. "
