Beautiful and peaceful place with lovely grounds. Especially good for birdwatchers with over 200 species.

We were so glad we booked this brilliant lodge for the beginning and end of our amazing Tanzanian trip. Harry and his partner should be congratulated on how beautiful the grounds are, for how well furnished the rooms are and for how well run the lodge is. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were outstanding and the quality of the food was excellent. Also having the beautiful gardens to wander around watching the wild birds and three species of monkey was unforgettable. Thanks to all...

Very helpful and flexible staff on reception, quiet location, very friendly restaurant team, chilled bar area, room excellent, two balconies. Maybe fix the locks on the sliding doors.

Great property and excellent service from very friendly staff. Worth noting it is a long way from Arusha township so it’s an expensive taxi ride (USD80) each way to go to the township. Roads into hotel are very rough. Otherwise it was excellent location

We stayed here before and after a safari whilst we relaxed and spent some time exploring the Meru /Arusha area. We also met up with some friends. Getting about was a little tricky as you can't walk anywhere easily from Planet lodge. However the hotel runs a complimentary shuttle bus into Arusha daily, and we gained confidence using the Dalla dalla(local bus).We enjoyed walking around the slopes of Mount Meru and reached the waterfall with the help of a local guide. We also visited a local...

Overall, it was an absolutely amazing experience. Extremely helpful staff, great service, amazing food options so overall very pleased with that. Close to the high street and restaurants are within walking distance and the ATM / banks are also opposite the hotel so very accessible. Almost everyone knows the hotel so very easy to get directions or use a taxi to get there. Overall: I'd highly recommend it! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic stay, great price. The staff there all went out of their way to help us and emanated the friendliness and smiling culture of all the Tanzanian people we met. Especially shout out to Emanuel and Edward at the front desk, and the chef who made sure we were all fed. Don’t expect the expedient service you’re used to in the western world. But does it matter when you’re on holiday? It’s made up for by the attention and care and the way they all want to ensure you have the best experience of...

Attentive staff, good food, a small pleasant pool and clean rooms/public areas. A little out of the centre of Arusha but most things a short ride away.
