"Lovely welcoming staff at reception! Super quiet room except for wonderful birdsong in the morning. Beautiful old furniture, artefacts , brass lift, wooden flooring …. Nice swimming pool too! "

"The room was spacious and clean, but it needed painting. When we booked we saw photos of the kitchen area and believed we could cook food in the room, however the hob was not connected to the gas and there was no cooking equipment. So this made our stay more expensive as we had to eat out all the time. The view from the pool is amazing and it was clean, however I cut myself on the tiles and there were lots of sharp edges around. The gym needs updating and tidying up. We asked for laundry twice, no one ever collected our clothes. We also asked for someone to help us use the safe, no one came. The food was really nice and good value, staff were friendly. Overall the hotel needs tidying up and and a refresh."
