AVOID Red Roof Inn Annapolis!! Room maintenance was horrifying. The linoleum flooring had a large crack which lifted off the floor + which cockroaches ran out of! The room wasn’t cleaned nor clean towels changed out after staying over a couple of days. When I called the front desk about this she said- oh, you have ask for service and you have to come to the front desk for towels! When I complained about these problems, the young woman said robotically, sorry about it- without even breaking her stride or looking at me… Etc. Only stay here if a park bench was the only alternative.

It was a Red Roof Inn. A basic property with extremely pleasant staff. However, it was Boat Show weekend in Annapolis so the BASICs, a clean room with a bed, was $400! NO in room coffee. NO lotion. Microwave was not intuitive. And, if I'm going to be picky, the freezer needed defrosting. Also, the faucet took some working to make sure it didn't drip.

Probably (actually, easily) the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Apparently I didn't get the memo as the parking lot was practically empty and I think I and maybe one other person were the only ones staying there. I should have just turned around and left when I saw the hallway filled with dehumidifiers every 10 feet. The carpet in the hall was gross, but the really really horrible part of this hotel was the room -- it smelled, musty and disgusting. To say you should stay somewhere else is an understatement. Sleeping in your car would be an upgrade!

This is an older economy hotel but we found it well taken care of and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We required a hotel that allowed pets (two cats) and was reasonably priced for a one week stay. This hotel fit our needs perfectly.

This inn meets the minimum requirement but nothing more. It is situated in a very quiet area in the back lot of a bank building. The pace is quiet, may be too quiet for comfort. Though it is a short walk to a main street, but not feeling comfortable (too quiet) to take the walk, especially with the developing construction sites around the property. There is no breakfast provided. In room coffee machine not working. All things provided are very basic. There are restaurants across the road but it is dangerous to walk across due to heavy traffic. The AC units are far too noisy. There are plenty of space gor parking.

Note: This review in no way reflects quality of my experiences at other Red Roof properties. This is an older property that appears to have undergone a “rehab” that ran out of steam — or money — before completion. Positives: * Plumbing and heating/AC (hot water, toilet, guest-controlled room temp) work fine. * Towels were average. * Location is within walking distance of popular retail shopping, food, and entertainment (Target, Pottery Barn, Mission BarBQ, P.F.Chang, etc.). Negatives: * Thin mattress (In my opinion, the single most important factor in a hotel experience is the bed. This one was a deal-breaker.) * Room lighting was dim, creating a gloomy atmosphere. (The corner where the “desk” is placed has no task lighting). I kept the TV on to make the room brighter. * Outdated key system led to many failures/retries during a one-night stay. Very frustrating. * Hair dryer did not turn on. When I tried to check the plug at the outlet, the entire fixture fell off the wall. * Microwave did not work until I reached behind the table and discovered it was unplugged from the wall. * No carpeting in room…previous floor was replaced with vinyl plank flooring, which is great for a kitchen or laundry room, but terrible for walking around barefoot. I will say that management and service staff tried their best to respond to requests for help, but the issues they face are systemic. The overall effect is one of incompetence, malfunction, and neglect.

Front desk and rom attendants were very pleasant. Our room was clean, cozy and cool in temperature. Location was perfect for getting to and from downtown Annapolis. Our only concern was due to an unruly couple in room next to us. Around 3 o’clock in the morning, a man started yelling at another woman in a room adjacent to ours. It last for about 30-45 minutes. He was threatening the woman. We called the front desk and alerted them to the situation. While the yelling ceased, we could hear the man trying to gain access to the other room for over an hour. It was not pleasant.

This property was just fine for a quick overnight stay! I wouldn't want to stay there for more than 2 nights. The other guests were a bit noisy (not really in the hotel's control), and I believe the room upstairs from us was a smoking room and you could smell the smoke very strong in our bathroom in the morning. Those were the only issues, per say. Otherwise it was fine!

My room smelled so bad I awoke with a headache and checked out early. I walk with a cane & was given a second floor room. There is no elevator. I was given a first floor room after explaining that people on canes cannot carry baggage on stairs. There is no handicapped parking a stair to get on the outside ramp. The building is not ADA compliant.
