"Clean room, very attentive and friendly staff. Loved that we had a choice of breakfast with fruit to start us off with. Also had a choice of juice, coffee or water. Convenient to downtown La Fortuna."
"My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Sanctuarium for 5 nights for her birthday and 5 stars doesn’t express how much we enjoyed staying here. Every staff member from the front desk to our personal concierge to the restaurant/bar staff was top notch. They greet you everytime you enter the property, they decorated our room for my wife’s birthday, they give you tours around the hotel, they notify you when a macau is in the trees, etc. they take care of all the little details that made an amazing experience. Genesis and the restaurant staff were so friendly and welcoming Everytime we stopped by for coffee and a delicious meal. She made us feel as if we were friends before our stay! Yeraldin, Kevin and all the staff were incredibly nice and made us feel so at home while staying with them. They answered any question we had, opened the door for us EVERY time, and brought the nighttime tea to our door every night we asked. One of a kind service and attention to detail. For a new hotel, they are as experienced an anyone out there! Highly recommend anyone to stay here and you won’t be disappointed. The property is gorgeous, not overly crowded, wildlife walking around constantly, and offer couple massages down by their private river oasis! Thank you everybody from Hotel Sanctuarium. Pura Vida!

"The stay was a highlight of COSTA RICA travel. This property gives you a chance to enjoy the combination of a wonderful hotel stay (with breakfast included) and hot springs. Take time and enjoy hot springs in combination with cold water swimming pools. You can spend 2-3 hours in the evening, and same time in the morning just after your breakfast. "
"A great little hotel! We stayed in a superior room, the bathrooms were on the smaller side but very clean! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Each room had its own mini split and fan so ac wasn’t an issue. There was a nice little morning coffee package provided to make a coffee in the room but every day we received a text asking us what we would like for breakfast the next day. All the breakfasts were made fresh the morning of, as well as a plate of fruit each. Adrian was super accommodating and had our breakfast ready earlier as we booked some early morning tours. The floor where the superior rooms are located had a great hangout/lounge sitting area with a fantastic view of the Arenal volcano. There is also a water and ice refill station in the lobby area which came in handy. Honestly this hotel is something you might drive by and miss but it was a great stay! It’s more in the heart of La Fortuna, within walking distance of soo many restaurants and all tours will pickup at this location! We would definitely stay here again!
Shoutout to Adrian for all the welcoming hospitality, he was wonderful!"
"Dueña Rocio is muy amable. She works very hard to maintain this property herself and is incredibly polite to everyone including her two daugthers. You will have an amazing view of the city, bunnies are walking around the property, available pool area, and fresh breakfast. It was my first time visiting Costa Rica with my mother and we enjoyed our stay. Anyone staying at this hotel can expect a very peaceful environment. Please treat the property with care and respect—Doña Rocío truly deserves it. We would definitely come back & hope to see Doña Rocio again!"
"The room was implacable and all staff have been extremely friendly, polite and very attentive. The food was varied and very nice every day.
Good list of cocktails and the bar staff would also happily give you something that is not on the list or make all the twists you asked for, and they would remember you even though the resort was very busy.
Didn’t use the parking so cannot comment on that.
We had a perfect 8 night stay and would very happily return to the resort. "
"This was a fantastic experience as a first time traveler!
All of the staff were extremely helpful!! In particular, Jocelyn helped get us book a taxi at 6h50 in the morning! And they all provided excellent tips for what to do in Monteverde.
And the kitchen staff were so kind, and they are great cooks, breakfeast was incredible.
The view from our room was one of the best part of our trips!
I will definelty be coming back on my future trips to Monteverde."
