This is definitely as two star property. Do not let them put you in the puffins annex. That place is horrible. Stay in the main building. The air conditioning did not work very well and the staff upfront didn’t seem to know whether or not the rooms were clean when we checked in well after their check in time. The transportation to and from the airport was on point however.

I encountered only one friendly staff member during my 5 night stay (Amber). I travel about three times a month and never encountered housekeeping service like this place. To start- night one: no soap in the bathrooms only shampoo and lotion. Shower didn’t work first night, second night it was rigged with an Allen Wrench to turn on, third night fixed. Room wasn’t cleaned the entire time we were there, at 6PM on 3rd night asked for more towels and to get trash emptied. 4th night we had fresh towels in the bathroom but beds and trash never touched. Maybe they just do things differently in Alaska?

Took awhile for the AC to cool down the room.took about 4 hours. Also there was no soap in the room but that was quickly solved and they apologized. Overall very nice and I would stay there again

We usually live by the mantra of "leave a good review or none at all," but we both felt we needed to help prevent others from choosing this hotel. While the price seemed decent compared to nearby hotels, the airport shuttle & drivers were great, and the front desk staff friendly-- the rest was awful. Our room was so small that we could not open both of our suitcases. We were crammed in there like sardines. Everything was old and dirty. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, and the sink being in the bedroom instead of the bathroom was horribly inconvenient. When we asked for a different room (we had homeless people wandering outside of our room and several people smoking there), we were told there were no other options. Breakfast (toast, bagels, hardboiled eggs) was completely eaten and gone by 7:45 AM, so we had to spend money elsewhere to eat. We hated walking into the room- not restful at all during our vacation.
