"Took it for granted there would be a lift as it was a tall building and I was on the second floor - up two flights of stairs. Apparently it is a listed building so no lift will ever be built. Shame all single rooms on ground floor had been taken. Didn’t use the bistro as it was fully booked until 9 and I couldn’t wait. "We were there for a 2 night stay at the end of August. The hotel is very well taken care of & it is in a quiet lovely location. It’s beautiful inside too. Rooms are cozy, clean , quiet, & decorated very nicely. The food & service in dining room is amazing! The free breakfast is plentiful, delicious, & fresh. It is a nice touch. "
