We liked the hotel, very rustic, nice canal view. Had a small balcony so you could sit out. There was construction going on the canal and area which was dirty and noisy but that didn't take away from the stay and it was outside of the hotel purview. Breakfast was excellent. Would stay again

Super convenient hotel - walk to the main city area is aboht 20 minutes. Water provided in the room and free breakfast that was great! Our room (209) was pretty tucked away so it was super quiet and ideal. The only thing I didn’t like was having to leave our key with the front desk every time we left and when we got back they never checked ID.

Overall, this was a great property. There was construction going on out front, making it less than appealing, but these things happen. And our room had literally no view (a wall with construction scaffolding). But the room was huge, property is cute, location around has so many restaurant options and great transportation nearby. I'd stay again.

The property was lovely. It was an old, historic, building but well maintained. I would caution anyone with accessibility issues that, though there is an elevator, the floor I was on had stairs to get to and from my room.

Spacious, bright and very clean room. Exceptionally thought out amenities with lovely special touches. Staff was beyond helpful, particularly Asif. Highly recommend. Only draw back was canal construction out front which was minor inconvenience.

Convenient location in the center of Amsterdam. About 30-40min walk from Amsterdam Central. Trams stop right in front of the hotel. Walkable to main tourist attractions. Stayed in a nice and spacious top floor with attic ceiling. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Direct us to a place that helped book our last-minute tour to Keukenhof garden during the flower parade weekend frenzy!

The location was great. Right off a metro line and really close to a lot of things. The quality for the price was pretty good too. You aren't allowed to take the key from the hotel, you have to drop it off and pick it up. One annoying thing was that we always left the "do not disturb" red sign in the door, but they would still come in and clean every day. The first day we had left everything all over the room since we thought no one would be in there. Then they would still proceed to give us new towels every day, etc. Red means don't change out please and don't come in the room with our stuff everywhere.

Great location. Large room. Staff very responsive, immediately attending to our inability to use the safe for example. Didn’t have breakfast but appreciated the coffee room to relax and wait in. Highly recommend

We booked a canal view room, but when we arrived had been put into another room at the very back of the hotel with two small windows overlooking nothing. We were told Expedia never apprised them of canal view room, and the hotel was full. We would have moved, but Amsterdam was full too, as it was tulip season. The first floor reeks of mould. It is horrible and dangerous, and air freshener is sprayed regularly to mask it, which is also unpleasant to breathe. The canal just outside was under renovation, so the entrance to the hotel was torn up and muddy. Construction started at 7.30 every morning, and was loud and disruptive. The front desk staff wasn’t particularly helpful, and often officious. With taxes, our room cost $500/night, and for that money was horrible. The entire hotel is dated and very old fashioned. The location is terrific, though. I would never stay here again and would recommend you find something far nicer for the money.

Great location. It was central to many things we wanted to do in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, we booked a canal view room and there was construction fully blocking the beautiful view. The entrance to the hotel is directly in the construction as well. The mattresses were also very hard.

The hotel is nice but you have to know it is not a fancy one, it is an old style house and you feel the old age in it. Location is super great and rooms and breakfast were great!! Staff and owner were very welcoming and nice. The down thing is that there was big construction exactly by the main door of the hotel which made our life very hard especially we were moving with our luggage.

Beautiful building tastefully decorated to highlight it's past, present and future. Wonderful hotel staff and service where nothing is to much trouble. Comfortable, clean and spacious rooms also. Excellent location with access to all areas of central Amsterdam whether you choose to work or travel by public transport. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Property overall is great! Street noise is very loud. Most of our 7 nights there was music, partying in the streets until 4am. Amenities are very minimal, and you must turn in your room key every time you leave the hotel, which is a pain at times. Building is a little dated, but cleanliness was top notch. Would recommend

I only stayed one night at this hotel but I wish I would’ve had more nights here! The location is perfect - walking distance to pretty much everything. A little further to the city center where I stayed earlier in The week but definitely walkable. My room had the view of the canal - was lovely to wake up to the sunrise shining over the buildings. The room had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable! The hotel has construction work in the front which might be bothersome to some travelers but I didn’t mind it too much. Rafi? (Raphy?) he checked me and was very friendly. I’d definitely would recommend this hotel!

There’s construction outside the hotel and the canal is closed. It’s kind of inconvenient but at the same time feels more safe and quiet at this moment. Facilities were veer clean. In the middle of the city with excellent transportation . I recommend it! Staff was super helpful and friendly

Excellent hotel, super staff, friendly people in special a Spanish Lady at reception, and two wonderful latin girls at restaurant. Amazing room with nice amenities like nespresso coffeemaker, frigo bar with complimentary sodas, water, wine and beer. Wonderful salon to take a coffee or tea (also complimentary). Amazing buffet $20€. Train just outside the hotel. Super wakeable. With tons of options for eat, or shop. Definitely an excellent hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a room that faced the Main Street, so it was great to people watch. The room was very big and the bathroom was clean. The rooms are a little bit outdated, and could use some TLC. The staff were great, but on 2 occasions we were stranded outside at night for more than 10-15mins becaus there was no one at the desk and they take your room key. I did not like the fact that everytime you leave the building you have to leave your room key behind.

Phone and coffee machine in the room are both useless. Unable to phone out at all. Why put a phone there if you can't use it as a phone? Same with the coffee machine that didn't work with provided capsules.. There's free coffee in the lounge from a much better machine that grinds your beans. Nice location, decent bathtub, and noisy heating. There was a power outage and construction on the Canal in front of the hotel. Had a back room, if you are on the street, it might be noisy for you late. Good size room, breakfast is standard, ok.

This was a great boutique hotel with spacious rooms and tub in our double-twin room. Although not ultra-luxurious, the rooms were spacious and clean. The central location and unique, Amsterdam feel of the building, views, and rooms was exactly what we wanted and needed. Great for visiting the theatre, museums, Ann Frank House, canals, and downtown via walking. Can take the tram everywhere else. The price was very reasonable, allowing us to book a first night so the room and awesome breakfast was ready and waiting for us when we arrived at 8 am after an overnight flight. Loved it! Would definitely bring our family and stay here.

Everything was truly fantastic, central to everything, staff was perfect, room was good, BUT there was construction going on outside that wasn't shown on their site. So yes, the view was good but the work starts early.. it could help give you a jumpstart to your day though.

As with most downtown European hotels, this one is in a centuries old building. It is very clean, friendly and helpful staff, and very conveniently located just a short walk to most attractions. The Tram runs right by the property should you prefer. Plenty of shopping and dining options within a few blocks.

This was very close to the museums which was convenient. There was canal construction and repairs ongoing while we stayed which meant a canal view was not desirable. Kettle didnt work, safe in the room didnt work. The hotel needs attention. Coffee and tea in the room was never replenished. Staff were friendly, breakfast staff were excellent and took pride in their breakfast service. I probably wont stay here again.
