A lovel "boutique" hotel on the banks of the river and minutes from the sea. Full of character, with a veranda where you can have breakfast overlooking the water and a small infiniti pool shaded by a tree. Nothing was too much trouble for the manager - tables at local restaurant, boats to transport you the short distance to the sea. Great if you are looking for an alternative to the large corporate "all you can eat" resorts in the area.

We stayed for four nights and absolutely loved this place. Firstly the location was lovely, right on the river bank. Very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was served in the garden overlooking the water. We ate there most nights too and the food was superb, freshly cooked and the curries were different each night. The staff were incredible, really friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay at this hotel which is in such a great location with fabulous views of the beach. There's lots to do nearby. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very spacious (bed was huge!) and clean. The food was delicious. We would definitely recommend.

Perfect hotel, very close to beach. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying the sun by the sea or poolside. Rooms are spotless and spacious with everything laid out well. All food is freshly cooked and the service flawless. We were looked after incredibly well by Anura and Dominic who could not do enough to help. Many thanks to all the staff.

First time in Sri Lanka. Simply one of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere. Friendly, courteous staff who couldn't do enough for us, a superb room with a balcony offering a beautiful beach view. We stayed five nights and didn't bother to eat anywhere else - the food was excellent. We wanted to take the chef home with us. We took long walks along the beaches and spent a lot of time in the wonderful hotel grounds and by the very stylish infinity pool. We want to visit Sri Lanka again soon...

The setting is so calming, the hotel is spotless, the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy, the food is lovely what more can I say!!

Fantastic beach front location with great views. Rooms and common areas very good standard and staff very helpful and hospitable. Lovely free perks in addition including afternoon tea/ cakes and drinks (gin/tonic, wine and beer) from 5-6pm. Food outstanding.

A family business run by Himmel. The property sits right next to Bentota Lagoon. There is a daily shuttle to and from the beach. The accommodation is in a block of two floors. The rooms are clean and spacious with plenty of storage space and a large furnished patio or balcony overlooking the pool and lagoon. The rooms are kept very clean by very friendly staff. Amazing, clean and great location hotel! This is right on the beach with its own secluded pool, relaxation area and just steps to the sea. The staff are great and the room we were given were amazing!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa 80. Our room was comfy and Henry, his wife and staff couldn't do enough for us. The tranquil garden was a real haven and the pool was a bonus. We weren't far from excellent beaches and the railway station. A tuktuk was available to run us to wherever we wanted to be whether to the local market or local gardens. And the breakfasts were excellent.

This is an ideal hotel to unwind and when you have, go explore the real Sri Lanka. Our Tuk-Tuk driver was superb in helping us with every thing out side the hotel, ie eating out for a change and trip, his name is Thomas. hope you enjoy the experience as much as we did.
