With a stunning view, close to the beach and friendly staffs, I would like to return to this hotel next time. The food is the View restaurant was delicious!

Oh my goodness, myself and my husband cannot rate this hotel highly enough. It is pure perfection. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, the food, ambiance and hotel/room was more than perfect. There is absolutely nothing negative to say. Thank you so much for for a fantastic stay. We will definitely be back!

A beautifully maintained property, room very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Charming and elegant owners, justifiably proud of there home and business. A petting 'zoo' of lovely birds and animals is included in their land. Dogs were welcomed and good safe walking is immediately outside the gate. Lovely breakfast included. Nearby town did not have much to offer but we ate well there.

Portugal and it's people are gentle and kind. We have visited many times and love it north to south. Tucked away at the end of a bumpy dirt road is a real gem. Fantastic staff in a gorgeous historical building. So friendly. Lovely pool area , very relaxing. Close to the chapel of bones and other must see buildings in Evora.

You feel the history of the place as soon as you walk in. I could not believe some of the amazing frescos on the walls! The staff are extremely competent and welcoming and the pousada is itself a very interesting place to visit. The pool is peaceful and pleasant, it is located next to the main attraction in town and there are quite a few good restaurants nearby as well.

Herdade do Vau is truly an oasis tucked away in the heart of the countryside. While the journey to get there is a bit of an adventure—4 kilometers along a rocky road (more rock than dirt, despite the hotel’s prior description)—the effort is well worth it. It took us about 20 minutes to drive the track, so a car is essential, and once you arrive, it feels like a secluded escape, making leaving feel like a challenge in the best way. The hotel offers the option to pre-order dinner if arranged in...
