"First, this is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. I stayed here on a business trip after I saw other reviews commenting on how it’s a great hotel for women traveling solo. Can confirm that is accurate! My only issue with the property is that they were hosting a “Jazz Camp” during my stay. This meant that between the hours of 8am and 11pm, discordant jazz music was (loudly) audible in my room. If you are in the hotel for the Jazz Camp, it looked like a blast! If you are coincidentally present at the same time and trying to get to sleep at a reasonable hour for work, it was less fun. I would definitely stay here again, but I will be calling to make sure it won’t coincide with Jazz Camp."

"The front desk personnel are great, and the hotel is fine, but has a large, busy entrance with no real security (at least during the evening when I stayed there). I had an unpleasant encounter with a strange non-guest, who was loitering in the lobby and approached me with personal questions while I was at the front desk. I later heard that this person attempted to interact with another guest later that same night, and was finally escorted off the property. Although this incident was not the fault of the hotel, I was uncomfortable for the rest of my stay. On a happier note: the oysters at Trenasse, located in the lobby, are fantastic!"

"The property was super clean and well maintained. The room was also really clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fairly standard hotel breakfast but the lobby it was served in was spacious and really nice. The property also felt really safe. The external doors locked at 8pm and you needed a key to get in and you also needed your key for the hotel and obviously the room."

"I have stayed at several hotels in N.O during the past year and this by far has been the best ( or maybe I am easily pleased). No traffic, no crowds, free parking, old neighborhood that is attracting new interest, walkable to several coffee shops etc and to bus /trolley stops. The hotel itself appears to be remodeled and well maintained/ cleaned. The Staff are very helpful and pleasant. And the cherry on the cake … the sound of a rooster and chickens (across from the hotel ) in the morning. This is now my preferred place for future travel here."
