Valèrie and her family were wonderful and very accommodating. The top floor of the property was wonderful for our stay and the house was beautifully presented. They were more than happy to share their recommendations for dinner, I wish we were staying longer, and would definitely return in the future.

It's very much a DIY bed and breakfast in a lovely location. We had the house to ourselves. The evening meal and breakfast were available in the kitchen to have at a time of our choosing.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is in a beautiful and quiet location. It is small, more like a restaurant with rooms and is very traditional in feel. It takes around 20-25 minutes to walk into the town of Mayenne along the river. Breakfast was good and we had dinner in the restaurant one night which was very good. Staff are polite and helpful. It was a very NEW and very clean room - everything felt new and nice, it was like the shower hadn't even been used before. The room is a little bit small and the area (though close to the train station) doesn't have many places to get food nearby - and as there is no food after 10pm at the hotel, I found this difficult as I arrived at 9.30. Gorgeous little hotel where nothing is too much of a problem and they are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The grounds are lovely with a river/stream flowing through at the bottom. We felt immediately relaxed after a long car journey. The only regret was not being able to enjoy the fine dining restaurant, as we were travelling with our dog. The bistro also in the hotel, however, where we could have our pet had some very good food. Look forward to a third return.

A great find. Stopped over en route from Roscoff ferry (3hrs away) to S France. It's only a few mins from A81 leaving at junc4 & easy to rejoin at junc3. Chance is a pretty village with a beautiful park next to the river Pritz which the Manoir overlooks from a great height.
