"We had a lovely stay, myself and my husband with our daughter and her partner we all said we will be back again, i have asked for a quote to bring our family down for my 60th birthday in June 2027 for 23 of us as there is so much to do at the hotel for the adults and our grandchildren, we ate both night's and couldn't Fault the food the lift was broken down but the hotel did notify us before we arrived and did give me a room below due to my arthritis so thank you again! "This hotel provides wonderful amenities The pool is warm and deep enough to swim, just not a full sized pool, and there is a jacuzzie sauna and steam room. In good weather there is a sun lounging garden also available. I loved the keyless door locking system where you just need to key in your personal number. I found the staff to be professionally friendly and happy to help. There is no breakfast provided, but you can get vending services and free ice. The sea front and restaurants and cafes are only a 10 minute walk away. Convenience store less than five minutes the other way with pubs etc nearby. This hotel is undergoing light maintenance at a slow pace. I felt the price paid, and the available amenities more than compensated for other little niggles with perhaps some tired furnishings and paintwork. This is my first choice to stay in Torquay on a budget."

"This has to be the worst hotel we have stayed in. The room was dirty, very far from all amenities and everywhere you walked the floors creaked so loud you thought you were going to fall through them! The swimming pool was under major construction (which wasn't mentioned before we booked) scaffolding everywhere which was a little worrying. A child pooed in the pool and no one got the rest of the guests out! We went to the bar in the evening and while we were sitting having a drink 3 huge rats were trying to climb the trellis to where the kitchen was. Safe to say we didn't eat there. When I brought all this up with the manager the next day, I felt reasurred I would get a full refund, but as I booked through expeadia I had to go through them and the hotel didn't respond to their request for information!! Awful."

"Staff was happy and welcoming when arrived but unfortunately the guy on desk when we left was not as friendly. Room was nice size and clean.was very disappointed with the choice of breakfast and tea choice i would not be happy to pay for what was on offer no one ask if there was anything whe would like as i can't eat fried eggs and mushroom would be nice othere then that it was a nice hotel and would stay again plus great entertainment was a bonus "

"The hotel with the rooms was very outdated. Horrible smell everywhere. Staff were nice and helpful though. We could only park behind the dirty building, car park full of rubbish. The walls were paper-thin, so we heard every conversation (it was rather a screaming between family members) and door slam in the hallway. Ruined our entire weekend. The room was filthy, with dust thick on the Cupboards, shelves, no hoovering was done, I had dirty towels. TV couldn’t be used. The price was very low but we definitely won’t go back again."

"I made a mistake not to book direct to be eligible for free parking. Many steps and corridors at the TLH Toorak,if you haven't got any mobility issues then it's perfectly suitable. Breakfast met our needs ,few basic cerelias and cooked breakfast as expected . Many over 80 yrs old ,assume its a popular hotel for OAP's."
