"The breakfast was good, staff was friendly and helpful. This spot it's great to be close to the boardwalk and the downtown area and other surrounding areas the only things that were not so great is the parking is really tight"

"The Great: Staff are phenomenal and caring - enough cannot be said. Breakfast platter brought to your door - a welcome sight with fresh coffee! The grounds and garden are idyllic and ideally positioned just outside the hubbub of Capitola - like an oasis retreat. The views of the Pacific are great, especially if you book with a view. All these things are definitely a unique 5 star experience! The Not So Great: The accommodations, at least in our case were, well... dated and rough...with a bare minimum furnished kitchen - 2 Star rating. The sitting area and bedroom were quaint, but again just needing an update or refresh - 3 Star rating. Conclusion: Overall a 4 star rating. Suggest specifically reviewing accommodations in detail to make sure that is what you are after."

"We had a nice room with space for the kids. The pool is heated and fun to play in- the spa was broken. Breakfast was nice with a big room and some adults tolerate kids at this hotel. Not exactly a family hotel, but we only encountered one grumpy old lady. Not sure why older people hate kids so much at these types of hotels. We mostly found it fine for our kids to be kids. The location is okay. There is a market and some quick food places nearby. We could easily drive to our planned destinations. The parking garage is great, since there is little parking in the area. It is not secured, but we felt safe and had a fun vacation/gym comp travel experience."
